Hi, I wasn't really sure where to post this question but one of the awesome members on another board said this would be the best place! I apologize if this is an ignorant question but this is only our 2nd trip to Disney as a family and our first with ADR's.

We managed to score PPO's for BOG and Akershus for our May trip. It just occurred to me that the buses probably aren't going to be running when we need to leave. We are staying at AS Sport and our ressies are at 8am for each restaurant. We will be driving so we will have our car if it is necessary but my question is two-fold. 1) What time do we need to leave our hotel to be at each park in time for our ressies. 2) At whatever time we would need to leave (I'm assuming y'all are going to tell me to leave at 7am at the absolute latest) will the buses be running? Or should we just plan on taking our car?

I want to have it planned out so I can discuss it with DH and he won't be shocked at the last minute when he realizes the buses aren't running at that hour of the morning.

Help a Dis newbie out please!

We had an 8 am breakfast reservation at the Animal Kingdom Park. We were able to catch a bus from our Disney hotel at about 7:10 or 7:15. We made it there on time for our breakfast.

The buses should start running about 7, you should be able to get to your reservation in plenty of time with the bus.

1) Always allow 1-hr for transportation.
. . . you may need to wait up to 20-minutes for the bus if you "just missed" the previous bus
. . . it takes 15-20 minutes to drive to some parks, based upon your resort
. . . you need to walk to the gate, enter, and walk to your eatery
2) The buses pull out of their "barns" (parked areas) at 6:30am.
. . . they arrive at resorts approx 6:45am
. . . many buses will stop at 1-2 more resorts to load early morning guests
3) Although the buses run well, if we even have an 8:00am ADR, my PESONAL CHOICE is to drive or take a taxi.

NLT 7am, yes.

I second the advice for taking your own car if you have it. You'll get a pretty good parking spot getting there that early, too.

Buses will absolutely be running at that time, and we've never been on a bus that stopped at another resort. We had PPO reservations, also in May, for BOG and CRT. We were there in plenty of time via Disney transportation. We left our room around 6:45am, but could have left at 7 and still been there early.

Thank y'all so much! This makes me feel much better!
