I have an 8:00 PPO breakfast at Garden Grill this week, two teenagers, DH and I. We are pretty fast eaters, and really just booked the breakfast to make sure that we can make it over to Test Track before rope drop. We are local to DL, so have seen Soarin plenty and would be happy to skip it. We also have a FP for FEA, so Test Track is our main worry. All my wordy way of asking, will we have an advantage for Test Track? Looking at the map, I'm not so sure. Thanks in advance for any advice!

1. Yes.
2. If you are walking there before the front gate guests are allowed in, then you will beat them there.

Yes you will have no problem getting on test track, even if you get their a few minutes after rope drop the line would only probably be 10 minutes

We are interested in eating there with a PPO next trip! I was wondering is PPO Garden Grill ressies similar to BOG ressies in that anything before 8:45ish gets seated at 8:00am if your there?

I have done this exact thing a couple of times. As always with these types of things, your mileage may vary! Morning procedures can change or be tweaked, and a minute or two here and there can change experiences significantly.

If I remember correctly they let the PPO crowd in 7:45ish, so I'd make sure to be there then so you're among the first people seated at GG. Breakfast is pretty quick in my experience. One time we were the only ones there for the first 5 mins or so and sat around with all of the characters all at once - it was awesome!

If you're really antsy to get over to TT, I'd go ahead and ask for the check early just to get that out of the way.

So when you head to TT, in my experience they hold people at the yellow circle below until just a few minutes before 9AM. I can't remember what time they typically start letting people in the front gate, but I think it's 8:40ish (someone please correct me if I'm off). So depending on the time you get there and when they let non-PPO ADR people in, you'll likely be with other guests waiting at this spot. But you're still in a great position to be among the first on TT.

I often make an early AM FP for TT... ride it once at RD just like this, then ride again with the FP.

Hope that makes sense!

Under normal crowd conditions, yes.

Where are normal guests held before RD now? Where do PPO guest have access to? I assume I can walk all the way to Frozen, but I was thinking normal guests were let into the fountain area, so maybe once we left The Land we would be stuck with those guests. That is obviously not the case though since you can walk to TT.

1. Varies.
2. Varies.
3. Sometimes.
4. Sometimes.
5. That's an assumption, too.

The "normal" procedures seem to be a thing of the past.

If a guest want's a boarding advantage by booking a PPO at Garden Grill (The Land,)
that is most assured to be for Soarin'.
Otherwise, you're taking your chances.

I used to post maps that featured the "Rope Drop holding areas" for all parks.

Within the last year, give-or-take, Disney changed everything, so I put those maps into hard drive storage.

You should be able to if you eat fast enough, however if you're going to TT and don't care about the breakfast, I'd just cancel the breakfast and make sure you're there early for rope drop. You're going to be held at another rope closer to Test Track with everyone else whether you have breakfast or not.

Now, if you were interested in doing Soarin first, then I'd say keep it, because as long as you finish in time, that will def. get you ahead of anyone else.
