PPO ADR and special ticketed event

Hi everyone,
We have a 8am ADR for Crystal Palace on January 24th. I was just checking the park hours to see if they had changed and now it lists a special ticketed event from 7:45 to 9. Any idea what this means? Will this complicate getting to our ADR? I assume this means we won't have an empty park for taking a few pictures on our way to our reservation anymore. Is this a big event? Something that will have the park already crowded by the time we finish eating? I am probably going to keep our reservation but I want to know how this might impact our morning.

Thanks

That is the "Extra Morning Magic" event. It's a paid event which gets you access to a three Fantasyland attractions 7:45-9 and there's also a buffet breakfast available at Pinnochio Village House.

General consensus by some around here have been that they allocate about 200 tickets to this, so it's not that much.

I have done two EMMs now and my opinion is that there is no material impact on the regular PPO ADR crowd. Sure it adds a few more people that will be lined up with you to get in the park, but we're not talking about major numbers here that fundamentally changes things.

The last EMM I did I'm pretty sure was sold out, and even then I didn't find it really that different from a non-EMM PPO ADR day.

Hope that helps. Happy to be more specific on any aspect if needed.

Personal note: I am a HUGE fan of the EMM event at MK. It is hands down one of the best money/value upcharge events we've done at Disney.

Thank you! This is very reassuring and helpful.

BTW, just some specifics in case helpful. They line the PPO ADR and EMM folks up together in the same holding area - they'll let you in the park around 7:40ish. I find if you let the initial PPO/EMM crowd make their way down Main Street first, get their photos, etc, you have a better shot at less crowded photos.

I used to try to be at the front of the PPO ADR line, but now I actually prefer to be towards the back a bit and let everyone clear out.

When they do let you in, the EMM crowd is generally going straight to 7DMT because you basically have an hour of unlimited rides. Those folks aren't likely to linger around Main Street too long because the clock is ticking!

It's still very hard to get totally empty Main Street pics, but it's pretty close!

Have fun!

The only drawback is that in the past, they have not allowed PPO ADR folks access to rides before the rope drop crowd arrives. Makes sense, since those folks who purchased the EMM package actually paid for the early access.
