Ive only ever stayed at the GCH, but from what I hear the DLH rooms are the largest, have the most character based decorating, and their new pool area looks great. Thats where I'd go.
HANDS DOWN DLH, stayed at PPH hotel last weekend and was NOT impressed at all! DLH for a few bucks more is 100% worth it!!!!! It's way bigger, better location, nicer rooms, bigger bathrooms, great elevators (PPH elevators are a joke for MM and check-out), food, etc..... Do not hesitate, DLH is rad!
PPH has slightly bigger rooms. DLH isn't a few more bucks, depdening on when it can be 50% to 100% more.
Between the two if the cost isn't the issues, the DLH. Super disneyfied decor, not themed like all Disney hotels, I mean Disney themed. Much better pool area. While dining will most likely be away from your hotel it does have more dining options.
The downside of the DLH is it's a few minutes further from the parks than the PPH. It also worse views for standard rooms, most likely a parking lot where as at the PPH you see the pool or parks.
It's around $100 more a night than PP, when I plugged in my 7 days in March...

I"m with skiingfast on this one. Also, the staff at PP go above and beyond to make anyone's stay magical. Plus, it's right across from the GCH, where as the DLH is kind of in back of everything.
Well I am an unabashed DLH lover. Then again I just got married there so I am very biased
Having said that I have stayed at the PPH and in all honesty, it is a nice place, but really cannot compare to the renovated DLH, really, it cannot.
The rooms are large, and bright, the grounds lush and neat and clean. The staff at DLH was fantastic, and distance is not noticeable. I have a disability, and the extra steps are not something that hindered me at all.
I say go to the DLH, we will not stay anywhere else now.
DLH hotel standard rooms ARE bigger then PPH! On the one wall they have the daybed, TV AND desk, PPH only has the daybed and TV. PPH has a nicer little coffee area. BUT the bathrooms are WAY bigger at DLH!
Sometimes is it only a few bucks...my stay was actually MORE at PPH and my trip in Feb is MORE at PPH too based on the rooms they have available! So it really depends!
And PPH is FARTHER time wise when it takes 20 minutes to get down into the lobby because there are only 3 elevators that go up AND down with the push of a button! We were on the 12th floor.
Bed linens are the same with the Mickey Heads, bathrooms soaps ARE the same (previously some have said they are all different, NOT true) and really a stuffed beach ball is NOT really Disney IMO!
My sister said it like this...it's like staying at a nice Marriott (DLH) or the Fairfield (PPH).
Way other end for us and we were on the 12th floor and had just done the half marathon, so stairs, for us, were not really an option . Also, you can't really take the stairs when checking out with tons of luggage. Also, strollers, don't do well with stairs !

We will be staying at PPH in April, and have stayed there several times in the past. It's generally more inexpensive compared to the other 2 resort Hotels. I've never had a problem in all our stays there, to me it's Disney enough as far as the decor. I've also stayed at DLH, and liked it also but, for some reason the shower heads seemed very low, they may have changed this with the renovations. I like the extra perks that come with staying in one of the resort hotels, and if I can save some $$ by staying at PPH then, it's all good to me.

I thought that PPH rooms were bigger. That is what I've always read here in the past. And when we stayed in May the square footage was more for PPH rooms than for DLH rooms (I called and asked) of the same style.
...

This is what keeps us going back to PPH. The views are incredible, especially if you get a CA view. For a theme park view at DLH it seems to be about 1 1/2 times more expensive. I just haven't been able to justify that yet... I also like the walk from PPH. And, I know I'm in the minority on this, but I like the lighter surroundings at PPH. The DLH is just too dark, especially since the renovations. The lobby is darker than ever. I don't get it

The staff at PPH has been incredible to us. They helped with several last minute things, including stroller rental. The stroller was in our room when we came back from the park on our first evening there. It was great!
I love the DLH, but I can't comment on the others as I can't stop myself from booking it. When we go in the off season, it's never been that much more for the DLH than the PPH, so it makes sense for us.
For us, although the DLH is farthest of the on site hotels, it's closest to the monorail, so we usually almost always use it. It can be annoying if you have a packed stroller to break down, but otherwise, it's quickest if there is not a million people waiting (and we've never had to wait for more than the next one). We also like the disney themed rooms. We've been wanting to try the GCH, but keep holding on to DLH. Especially since the remoldel, it's lovely!
