My DH has now agreed to stay at PPH instead of Hojo's, it's more of a novelty for us, now I am thinking maybe we could do DLH instead for an extra $470AUD for the 7 nights, it's not ALOT of money, a bit but not alot IYKWIM.
Should I just book DLH and pay the extra out of my own stash and not even tell him??? :confused3
Is the difference between the two worth the extra $$

If the pool is any consideration for your stay, I'd actually stick with PPH.

The DLH pool is gorgeous. But the special parts of it are unuseable for one that little. Cool pirate ship can't even be touched. He's likely too small, and probably not a good enough swimmer, to go on the cool slide. So...there's just the little kid slide, and a little kid slide is a little kid slide.

Yes there are other pools (that I didn't realize were open until our last day there).

But the PPH pool is simple, and they have a slide UNconnected to the pool, so littler kids can go down it, and you can easily snag them when they are at the bottom.

The really neat parts of DLH's grounds are open to all...the Koi have certain feeding times and anyone can take part at those times. Put $10 into the toke machine and you have *many* times to steer the remote control Jungle Cruise boats around. My guy just liked walking around, and we had the added bonus of seeing a bride...he LOVES brides and weddings.

Those things can be seen even if you're not a guest there, and without the frustration of a little kid not being able to play on the big pirate ship. sigh.

And the PPH is a perfectly lovely, bright, happy, cheery hotel! Then you can spend that extra (USD$350ish right now?) on souvenirs, or save it for a future trip! :goodvibes

Thank you so much Bumbershoot, I will save the money for our next trip over, and stay at DLH after they have been fully renovated LOL
Love Disboards for info :thumbsup2
DS will love those Jungle cruise boats when we take him over to see them too!
