I have 2 staterooms booked for the member cruise in September. I read somewhere that the stateroom host can open up the gate between the 2 balconies of side by side rooms. Looking at the deck plan, it doesn't seem like our staterooms are adjoining. Can that be done if the rooms aren't adjoining? Not the end of the world, but it would be nice. Just wondering.

Yes, most balconies can be opened even if there is no interior connecting door. The ones that cannot are right at the structural beams.

Adjoining - next door or across the hall from each other (no interior door between the rooms)
Connecting - an interior door between two rooms next to each other,

If the two rooms are next to each other, in most cases, the partition between their verandahs can be opened. If the two rooms have a room (other people) between them, the partition cannot be opened.

I’m not sure why anyone would ask to have the partition removed if there was a party in between the parties staterooms.

Also not sure about how across the hall would cross someone’s mind about the partition removed…
