PPH CL or DLH Standard?

We made our final payment today for our Disney trip in May '15 and have come to accept the prices per night during the Memorial Day Weekend.

Currently we are booked at PPH standard.

I want so surprise my friend with a pre-birthday present by booking another category or hotel.

The last two days I thought about whether to book a standard CL room at PPH or a non-CL standard room at DLH. The price difference between these rooms is just a few $, not to talk about. DLH CL price is too high (like 712 $ + tax..never!!).

Well.....I am still debating in my head. Sometimes I think a DLH room would be more mature (except the blinking headboard) and more Disney-like, but then I think we would be missing the CL-lounge.

a few questions:

- does Beachcomber Lounge have a fridge with Coke etc.?

- when does private check-in start in the morning?

- is there a huge difference in walking to the parks? I guess when you cut through GCH the walk from PPH might be very short

- do all CL standard rooms at PPH come with a patio? I do not care about the view rooms...but the patio would be a big bonus


I like the idea of having access to the food offerings...but otherwise the DLH rooms seem to be much more spacious, mature and elegant.


What would you do?! I can't decide this alone

The lounges at all three resort hotels have fridges with soda. I don't know what time private check in starts, probably when the lounge opens. The walk is shorter from PPH than DLH. No rooms at PPH have patios. There are a select number of suites at DLH that have patios. Oh, maybe the pool rooms at PPH have a patio, I don't know. We stay for the view

Larina is correct…the Pool Rooms at PPH do have patios!
