PP or DH

oh no!
I hope PPH will be a positive experience. I want to be immersed in Disney when I'm there I don't want to be irritated or annoyed by bad service. That goes for DL or anywhere for that matter.
When I receive good service I always let a manager know or I write a letter.
I'm not a super demanding person, I just like to be treated nicely and get what I pay for.

ploeb- that's hilarious! You should send them the book. Better yet, send it directly to each hotel manager and whoever is in charge of all of them.
Write a little note with the book to "read up! See you in 6 weeks!"

Nope they just saw the kids coming and/or started talking to them during check-in and pulled out balloons and stuff from the back room. :goodvibes

When I stayed at the GCH with my DS, they heard me call him by name. The very friendly CM checking us in said, "oh, you're Joe? Joe (our last name)? wait just a minute, Mickey sent something over for you, told me to give it to you when you got here, I'm so glad I saw you, wouldn't want to get in trouble with Mickey!" He went in the back and came out a few minutes later with a bunch of balloons, an autographed picture of Mickey & Minnie, and a bunch of stickers, and not just the regular round Mickey stickers they give out in the parks, but DCA and other character shaped stickers. It was really neat and the look on my DS's face was priceless. It was a magical moment for sure, my DS totally believed that Mickey had sent that stuff just for him!

Our DLH experience in 2005 wasn't as good as usual - the staff was really slacking - found out there were union problems and negotiations going on (found that out the LAST day we were there of course!) It's been better for us since and we've always been treated nicely. In February the DLH staff was just awesome - way friendly and accommodating right down to the security staff. Trying to think of anything but I don't recall anything negative at PP with staff during our trips.

The GC is special - that I have to say. We haven't even stayed there yet but usually walk through it at some point and daily if we stay at PP. One of the CMs stopped us to talk to Morgan during her 2 year birthday trip, Morgan noticed her pins (we hadn't done that with her yet) and the CM was ready to give Morgan a pin - anything she wanted. I actually finally stepped in and thanked her but didn't think pins would be a great idea for a 2 year old (stupid and over-protective....I know....lol - and I made it up by shopping for them with her later in the week.) I am hoping and eager to stay at the GC because of all the little extras and incidents we've had at the GC. The special staff must be selected to work there!

:hippie: Ok...so anyone who has read my post regarding the PPH (in the past) knows that I have always been a Big BIG Fan:banana: of this hotel. That being said in regards to my last post.... I made a complaint with the hotel after the reunion fiasco and thought that all would be well, but sadly NO. It is very sad because the staff has always been so great to my family, and there are still a handful left that really believe in what Disney is(at the PPH):confused3 :confused3 . You know that feeling when you come home from your Disney trip and you feel so innocent and magical:wizard: ? Well this time around I came home and looked over my bill:scared: Never did that before!
