I'd love to hear from anyone who has stayed at PP concierge recently. We arrive in a month and it's been 5 years since we have stayed there. My specific questions are:
1. what are the lounge hours?
2. what hot appitzers did you have?
3. how generous were they with the wine and beer service?
4. can you still get bottled water and canned pop to take to the parks?

any other info? tips?
thanks

Hello : ) I still have my flyer from the Beachcomber Lounge when we stayed in July. I'll list exactly as it states:

6:30 -10:00 AM - Assorted fresh pastries, cereal, fruit and beverages.
This included coffee, tea, milk, and hot chocolate. The lounge CM's fully expect to be asked for water, as most people are heading to the parks at this time. Just tell them how many and they'll bring them. They are the smaller size bottles. Sodas are available round the clock. Our fam of 5 went through 8 to 10 a day. That in itself helped justify the cost of concierge when you figure they are $3 each in the parks.

10:00 - 5:00 PM - A variety of fresh fruits, snacks, and beverages served throughout the day.
This included chips and salsa, cookies, bagged variety potato chips, Uncrustables, and fresh veggies.

5:00 - 7:00 PM - "A Moment In Paradise" - A selection of scrumptious appetizers with your choice of complimentary wine and beer.
Typically they would switch off days of hot apps, between egg rolls and teriyaki chicken skewers. I didn't have any wine or beer, but my son did. The lounge CM would occasionally ask if he'd like another beer, so don't be shy just ask. Note that the offerings aren't really enough to call a "dinner" though, unless you're a very light eater or plan to fill up on lots of apps.

7:00 - 8:00 PM - Sweet Endings - Tempting sweets and beverages - a perfect end to an evening.
I didn't take advantage of this, but DH and DS did. They went to the lounge just before closing one night, and were given ALL the chocolate covered strawberries they had left! The CM said everything that's left just gets thrown away, so we had enough chocolate stawberries to last us the rest of our stay! It was nice knowing we had the concierge at our disposal when we wanted a snack, or even just to be out of the hotel room for awhile.

We stayed at PPH for 2 weeks in September and had concierge.

I was actually only there once for the hot appetizers - they were south western spring rolls.

I'm not a drinker but my husband took full advantage of the beer, usually he'd get 2 or 3 per evening. Also several times he'd take one or two out to the pool area.

We got bottled water every day to take to the parks - you have to ask for it but it wasn't a problem. We drank heaps of water as it was really hot when we were there so it was really convenient for us (also we had a stroller so carrying around 10 or so bottles of water wasn't a problem).

We didn't tend to take the canned soads to the parks, but we did take them back to our room to put in the fridge, and we also took them to the pool almost every day.

We never seemed to make it over in the evening except maybe once. I just remember bacon wrapped dates. Amazing! We usually got plates of the chocolate dipped strawberries. And I liked the assortment of cheeses.

We, a family of five, were there for 8 days in August. Because of the large crowds, concierge opened around 6am and stayed open until 8pm. The staff was incredible. It was abnormally hot that visit, and the staff always encouraged us to take water bottles !

I can't imagine staying at the PPH and not getting concierge. It is well worth it.
