PP closures during WOC

Hi all! Long-time lurker, first-time poster. DGF and I are heading to DLR for first GCH stay May 3-4 and I was wondering what time I should expect PP attractions to close. The park is only open until 8:00 and only one WOC show at 8:30. Will anything be closing at all since the park will be closed by the time WOC starts? TIA!

All Paradise park attraction close, except for Toy Story Mania. Last summer Mullaholland Madness stayed open so when it reopens as Goofy's Sky School I would expect it will stay open. The Little Mermaid Ariel's Undersea Adventure is expected to stay open as well.

Great thanks... so since the park closes at 8pm like I said in the OP, are you saying that the PP rides will probably stay open until park closing? Basically I'm trying to figure out if I can plan to visit PP at the end of the day rather than earlier.

When we were there in March, the CM at Screamin' explained to us that they do not close the rides at a set time every night. Rather, they need everyone in line to get on the ride and be done by a certain time before WOC starts. He said the CM for each ride needs to look at the line and judge when to shut it down. So for instance, when we were there, it wasn't very busy, so he looked at the line while we were talking and said based on the size of the line, he would probably close it around 7:40 p.m. This would enable everyone in line at 7:40 to ride by 8 p.m. WOC was scheduled for 8:15 that night. He told us that if there is a long line, he would probably close it closer to 7:20.

With an 8:30 show, I do not know if that means the CM would try have everyone finish riding by the 8:00 park closing time, or by 8:15ish for the WOC time. I have read that if you are in line for a ride when the park closes, you still get to ride, so it may be that for a later WOC, they will close the line later, not sure on that, though.

HTH!

Thank you so much!!! I had given up on this thread for lack of useful information, but that is exactly what I was trying to find out. I tell ya, I thought posting on the boards would turn out to be more fruitful, but I may just go back to lurking... Oh well, still looking forward to the big trip! Thanks again!

You are welcome!

Please don't give up on the boards! There is lots of useful information, though I agree, sometimes it is hard to get, lol.

I happen to be an EXTREMELY detailed-oriented person - I find that I often I want much more information than people give me (not just here, but in life, lol). So I tend to give as many details I can, and find out as many details as I can when asking questions.

In this case, I'm not sure most posters would even know the details I just gave you - the only reason I did was because on that last trip, my kids wanted to ride both the Sun Wheel of Death and Screamin before we left. I kept telling them they didn't have time to do both as I knew they'd be shutting down the rides soon for WOC. I had assumed it would be something like 7:30, but decided to ask so the kids could decide on that one last ride. Turns out they could ride both! But it was just happy circumstance that I found that out - most people wouldn't know those nitty-gritty details. A couple of months ago, I wouldn't have, lol.

Have a great trip!
