I'm so not talented at all, so i take blank disigns and add our names to them. No big deal, it's easy. And I use powerpoint to do it. (I have photoshop but don't know how to use it! )

I'm trying to take the Wedding Ring Disign from Natalie and personalize it. And i've done it and it looks great! BUT IT WON"T PRINT!!!! :headache: :headache:

I printed a sample about a month ago, everything was great. The disign was good, i had a phrase at the bottom and our names and dates in the ears, all done in text boxes. very cute, came out lovely. Well now i am all set to complete the project and when i print it, only the phrase at the bottom comes out! Nothing on the ears at all, no matter how many times i try and fix it, flip it to the front, back, nothing!! I'm so frustrated because I KNOW it can be done as i'm holding it in my hand!!!

The only thing i can think, is we got a new computer and are now using Vista. Is it possible that with Vista you can't print multiple text boxes over an image?? Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I mean the disign is right, it's just not printing correctly.

Anyone have any ideas??? :confused3

What I do sometimes is just highlight everything on powerpoint and then do a right click. The option save as should appear then I just save that picture as a jpeg. Then open the file you saved it under and print it directly. If that doesn't work with your new computer do the same thing with the highlighting and right click but do copy. Open up paint and paste it there, then save it. Do the same thing, open the file and you should be able to print. If this doesn't help, let me know. I think I have several designs copied also with the rings I can send you that might be able to work. I did one too it's on my photoshop page, check it out.
Hope this helps...

Thanks for the help. I did save the slide as a jpeg file, but then i would go back in and add it to the powerpoint file, and the writing would be all pixelated and messy looking. I'll see if I can just print the picture, but still not sure if it would be rigth as I need it to be 8x10. I'll check tonight!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Have you thought about doing it in word? I have made all of my t-shirts in word using designs from wonderful DISigners on this website and it is super easy. Just like in powerpoint you can put text boxes over the design.

In case you don't know how to do it in word:

Paste the artwork from the DISigner into word. Put your cursor just below the image and Go to "insert" on the bar at the top of the page and click on "text box" this will add a huge text box below the image...all you have to do is move your mouse over the image to where you want to add words. You will see an x. Left click and drag the x to the size that you want.

Make sure your text box is still highlighted and then go to "format" again at the bar at the top of the page and click on "text box". Under the colors and lines tab...change the "color" to "no fill" so that the image will show behind your wording and the "line" to "no line" so there won't be an outline around your text box and click okay. Then type whatever you want inside the text box. You can move the text box around by left clicking on it and moving the mouse until you see four arrows or you can click and drag the corners to make it small or bigger. You can use aqny style font and size just like in a normal word docement.

You can also go to "format" text box and click on layout to move it in front or behind the image if needed.

Hope this helps. It's amazing what you can do in Word!
