power rangers

I wonder if anyone can help. We were recently in our local Disney shop in Cardiff and saw Power Rangers merchandise. Could anyone tell me if Disney have the copyright for them? My son is 5, 6 when we fly to Orlando on December 1st, and thinks he is the red power ranger. If they do have the copyrights, do the rangers walk around the parks?

I haven't seen any Power Rangers in ANY of the Parks.

Don't think so ... Power Rangers (and their like) are banned in our house as they turn our boys into kung-foo kicking maniacs and it always ends in tears. I doubt if Disney would've taken up the PR franchise.

hi, I've seen power rangers at the Disney Store today, I am sure I have read somewhere that they are at MGM studios, can't remeber where, might be on one of the American boards.

I believe Disney bought the company that owned the rights to Power rangers a couple of years ago. I'm sure I saw the characters in a parade last summer - maybe Stars & Cars at MGM.

Power Rangers is now the No. 1 priority in the boys' arena for Disney Consumer Products. Initially a toy license, Power Rangers has expanded across all lines of business, including Softlines, Hardlines, Home Video, Publishing and Interactive. Each new incarnation inspires fresh product designs across all categories, including new Rangers, villains and Megazords.

A mistake IMHO - obviously the pursuit of the mighty $$$ is greater than any ethical considerations!

Yes you can definatly see the Power Rangers at MGM in Stars and Motorcars Parade, this is a piccie I took last August:

We saw them in the parade as well and I did hear but didn't see that they did lurk around by the restaurants at the start of the parade not too sure if they do sign or pose for photos, maybe someone else will have an answer

the power rangers also do a meet and greet! It was the highlight of my DS5's trip!

They tend to hang around the bottom of NY street at the Studios.
You cant miss them, they are incredibly noisy!

Meeting the PR's was the highlight of our two DS's trip last year too. They were at the entrance of Motor Stunt Show, and during the parade one of them shook their hands. The look on their faces...........!!!

Another tip is to head for the Target or Walmart - where you can buy the very latest Power Ranger toys. In the UK we're always a series behind, so you can the Megazords and things long before they arrive in the UK!!! (..........I have a house full of them......... ) Thankfully we're now outgrowing them!

Yep Power Rangers are in the parade and also at the bottom of the NY streets, Big Entrance for photos and autographs.
High light of DS6 holiday. Lots of merchandise in MGM and Disney stores over here.

Yes we met them in MGM last year
they come out to greet the guests in they car with lots of loud music and all the action
really cool

Definately at MGM!!! We also saw them there last June, DS almost could not believe his eyes we got about 5 photos of him with them too so it made his vacation He too is mad about Power Rangers there were lots of toys at DTD as well as MGM . He is even dressing as a Red Power Ranger in July when his school is doing a fancy dress mile for Sport Relief.

I agree they are in MGM daily, they come out for photos and autographs. There is 1 ranger from each set including one from the new 'Mystic Force' Power Ranger series, not out in UK yet. My DS can't wait. When we were in Florida in 2004 there were loads of PR stuff in the big toyshop in DTD.

Hello to all, this is my first post.

My son and daughter met the Power Rangers at MGM last September and it was one of the highlights of their holiday. My son being a massive fan nearly fell off the step, as mouth dropped to the floor when they came in the car. They both had their photographs taken with all 5 rangers and also stocked up the SPD merchandise as it wasn't out in the UK at the time.

Yep just got back on Friday and we seen the Power rangers red green pink and white. All at MGM studios just by the lights motors action stadium and they were doing photos and autographs.
