I was at the Disney Store tonight and bumped into a fellow Dis'er who is headed down to Disney this week. We started talking and our sons are both huge power ranger fans. She said to head to the area where the Power Rangers are as soon as the park opens, that her son had them to himself last year when they did that. I want to do this but would hate to and have him all pumped up about it and them not be there. We usually head right for the Playhouse Disney show. Does anyone know if they are usually back there by the Stunt Cars Motor Show area at park opening??

Thanks,

They are there at set times. I'm not sure if its at park opening but I'm sure its in the morning sometime. We've never gotten there that early.

We were there in November with my nephew who is a huge Power Rangers fan. We wanted to make sure that he saw his favorites so we headed straight to the Power Rangers when the park opened. It was the best thing we did. Five minutes after we arrived we heard the music and the Power Rangers came out. There were only a few other kids there at that time. My nephew was able to get pictures with all of the Rangers. He was thrilled!! I would definitely recommend heading straight to the Rangers when the park opens. You won't regret it.

We were there on Monday 1/16 and they were several times through out the day. I can't find my times guide right now for the exact times. We went to a couple different times to get as many autographs as we can. The earlier one was definitely less crowded than the one we went to around 4:30. The lines grew rather quickly. If you are awaiting the Power Rangers arrival, CMs will point out where certain ones will stand to sign autographs so if your child has a favorite one that can't be missed, you can make sure to stand in that area.
When they leave, if you stand near the center of their car and have your child turn around you can get a really good picture with all of them in the background in the car driving away.

Thank you so much. So were they out there a little after 9 o'clock then. Do we have time to grab a fast pass for Rockin' Roller Coaster and then head quickly down there? I can't wait, my son will go NUTS, he can't wait and talks about meeting the Power Rangers every day. They were right in front of the Stunt Car show right??

We were there in December and did this. The park opened at 9 and the first meet/greet with the Power Rangers was 9:30. DH and kids went straight to it, while I headed to RnRC and grabbed fps. I went really fast because I didn't want to miss DS's expression when he saw them. I got back there right and 9:30, but it didn't matter, as they were about 10 minutes or so late coming out. But you are correct, there weren't many kids at all at that time of day! You will get a park map and a times guide as soon as you enter the park, so check it to get the time of their first meet.

The power rangers are there at scheduled times - they don't just show up randomly - so you should be able to find out their schedule. It seems like when we were there last year in May we saw them sometime in the morning.

They appeared at the end of the street (near that car stunt show thing - can't remember its name!). We were one of the first to get back there to wait for them. I remember asking a CM as we were walking down that street if they were there yet and the guy kind of laughed and said something like "oh...you'll KNOW when they're there - the music is loud."

Sure enough - the rangers come in on their special car and the music is ear-splitting! And they kept that music on the whole time we were there getting the autographs. After riding in they jump off the car and each of them stand in a certain place around the end of the street. You can then circle around and there was a small line to get each ranger's autograph and have your kid pose for a pic if you want to take one.

My 3 year old actually wore his power ranger costume (I should say ONE of his many costumes :teeth: ) and he got a lot of nice attention. He was thrilled and very much overwhelmed however. He wasn't afraid but he told me that for our return trip in July he didn't want to do that again. I think for him it was like flying to close to the sun or something - LOL! He loved it on one hand and was overwhelmed on the other.

Just keep that in mind if you have little ones! And the noise if your kids are sensitive!

There are five power rangers to meet: The red Space Patrol Delta ranger, the Pink Time Force ranger, the Green Samurai Ranger, the white/blue Lunar Wolf ranger, and the black/white Dino Thunder ranger. Usually all five are out, though if you hit them at a bad time, they could be minus a ranger or two! :)

Thanks for the details of the Rangers, we can't wait. I'm wondering if they will be changing this at all though since the SPD things seem to be a thing of the past and they are all being phased out to the Mystic Force Rangers. I hope the traditional Green Ranger is still there in June, my sons FAVORITE!

That's was my son's favorite too, actually it was ten years ago, and he was obsessed with, at that time, Tommy the green ranger.

When we were at Disney last year the rangers came out and I could have so easily got a picture with my son and the green ranger, but my son wouldn't do it, he was afraid I'd show his friends. They grow up so quickly. ;)

The PR car is cool, too! We saw them several times throughout the day.

FYI When we went in Nov/Dec the last show was 1:00PM !!! Which was very early IMHO. So plan accordingly. :tink:

We just got back yesterday and I have the times guide for the week of Jan15-Jan 21 right in front of me. The park opened at 9 am everyday and the Power Rangers were out at 9:45, 10:45, 11:45, 12:45, 4:30 and 5:30 with the park closing at 7 pm. If you arrive at park opening then you can easily make the first show even though it is a bit of a walk. We saw them as we were leaving Lights Motors Action show because they are near the entrance, at the end of Streets of America. Not a Power Rangers fan, but the kids seemed to love them! :cheer2:

Thanks for the tips! My boys are HUGE power ranger fans. I think I won't even tell them about it until we get there. They will be so excited!!!! So you can get autographs as well? Can you pick up a brochure somewhere about what times to meet certain characters? Do we get this at our Resort or at the Parks? I want to make sure I don't miss out on our favorites.

I found my Times Guide from January 15-21 2006 (husband threw it in the recycling!) and the Character Greeting Times for the Power Rangers at Streets of America are listed as:

(Daily)........9:45am, 10:45am, 11:45am, 12:45pm, 4:30pm, 5:30 pm

Yes you can get autographs, and yes you can pick up the schedules at each park (or at your resort). If you want to check schedules before you leave, this site updates weekly:
