My two kids love the Power Rangers and I was just wondering if the characters are ever in the parks. I personally do not recall seeing them, but then again, I was not looking for them in the past.

eeyorefanatic is right. The Power Rangers are not Disney characters, and therefore are not found anywhere on Property.

Sorry, not Disney.

But I'm honestly not sure who "owns" them... just know its not Disney.

Hmm .. well, I don't know who owns what, but I do recall seeing Power Rangers merchandise in the store in MGM back near the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground, behind the Studio Catering Company counter service restaurant. Can't for the life of me remember what the store is called .. it's the one where you can open the boxes and it makes sound effects. This was January of this year.

DH and I remember seeing the stuff because we both thought it was weird at the time. Perhaps it is an affliation with MGM and not Disney?

Haven't I seen Power Ranger merchandise in the Disney catalogs, also??

Or am I  ?

Disney does actually own the Power Ranger franchise now as I understand it. You can find PR merchandise in Disney stores and in gift shops in the theme parks. As of now, there are no characters in the parks but my ds would LOVE it. We plan to celebrate his 5th b-day at WDW next May. Here's hoping they may be there by then.

First time I saw Power Ranger merch in the Disney Store threw me for a loop. I have a feeling it is the ABC arm that purchased them for the television rights to the show.

Thanks for the replies!

We watch the PowerRangers on the Disney Channel and I have bought the merchandise in the DS, so I thought they might be out somewhere in one of the parks. I guess MGM would make the most sense, so I'll check out the store in MGM.

Thanks again:D

I have seen lots of Disney merchandise with the Rangers but I havent seen the Rangers themselves. My 2 youngest like them as well.

For the time being, the presence of the Power Rangers at WDW is limited to merchandise at the Disney/MGM Studios. They were acquired as part of the ABC Family deal (which is why they are now part of ABC's saturday morning lineup).

Safari Steve--our family will be at WDW May 29-June 12. Do you know where you will be working then?? Your always so helpful on the boards I would love to stop by and say hi
