Has anyone had the Poutine at LeCellier? I love me some Poutine and I am praying that it stays on the menu. What a great addition! I'd love to hear a review or see a picture if anybody has one.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....Poutine

LOL - I had to Google "poutine." I'm sure it probably tastes good but it is not a very photogenic dish.

I see it is on All Ears Net Le Cellier menu dated June 2009. A side dish at $4.49.

My daughter loves Poutine, and will be eating it on our September trip if it is still on the menu. Our last trip she was so disappointed because she couldn't find anyone serving Poutine at Disney.

Oh, I may have to add Le Cellier to my list of ADR's just for POUTINE! I only get it every few years when I go to upstate NY and I crave it. I hope it's yummy.

of these food items I have to have. I didn't realize it was available at LC. In fact one of the criticisms of LC was that it was not true Quebec cuisine because Poutine was not available.

I'm sure it will be gone before I get back.

Everything you need to know about poutine is explained here

It is available just about everywhere here in Canada...Never been one my favs though:scared:
It tends to stay with you all day....:sad2:

I havent had Poutine since my days in Canada eating at NY Fries in the malls ( wow, dating myself now! ) I love it and its always been with brown gravy when Ive had it.

Hotrod ordered the poutine from LeCellier on our last trip (first week of June) and they didn't even have curds on it! So basically it was potatos and gravy. She was very disappointed, she was looking forward to this because her family are newfies.

wow, I didn't know they had poutine! Although if what Bayou Mickey said, then it really isn't poutine at all - it's not even disco fries! LOL

(proper) poutine would be a great addition to the food and wine festival kiosk for Canada...

Yup she was so excited that she was finally going to be able to explain and demo what poutine was, when it reach the table she had to ask "where's the curds" the CM responded "it doesn't come with curds here, but I think they are trying to add it". We got it comp'ed, the rest of the meal was fabulous. it was our only disappointment.

How was the gravy?

Examples for me-NY Fries - great, KFC - good (made with chicken gravy, not beef), A&W - awful, Burger King - awful.

the gravy reminded me more of a thick au jou, very robust, but very good. It had no signs of being premade or canned. as my wife HotRod said "It's good, but it's not poutine"
