Has anyone had this side dish? I was thinking of trying it at lunch next week.

I heard it's not a real poutine. I think it's just fries and gravy-it's missing the cheese curds.

I don't know how they can call it a poutine when it's missing a main ingredient. It's like calling a chocolate chip cookie with out chocolate chips a chocolate chip cookie!

The poutine is not real . I think it taste very different from the poutine a friend of mine (from Quebec) makes. It's almost as if they've cheapened the ingredients it almost taste like something McDonalds would throw together.

Funny- it was the one things that was making me consider LeCellier, and then I heard the poutine is not authentic and pretty awful.

Having had McDonald's Poutine many, many times in the past, I can say that it's much better than what's on offer at Le Cellier. At least it looks right.

What Le Cellier serves isn't really a poutine as much as it is a bunch of French Fries in some sort of molten cheese pie with brown sauce. It's OK, but it's not really a poutine. I think the biggest problem is that it's not really possible to get fresh cheese curds in Florida, and they don't really travel well over long distances.

Just say NO to the poutine at Le Cellier. It is BAD!!!!
I prefer Canadian fast food poutine to what they have at LC.

Please take it from a Canadian, It is not real poutine.

This is fast becoming our national dish!! Great just what I want Canadians to be remembered by.:rotfl2: I guess it is better than those silly lumberjack outfits the CM's wear in Epcot.

Real poutine has cheese curds. Some places will substitute the curds for just plain old regular shredded cheese. Althought it still tastes good it is not the same.

You need very fresh curd, so fresh that it actually squeeks as you are eating it. MMMMM poutine I think I know what I am having for lunch.:cool1:

The poutine at LC also has really awful gravy. Apparently the chef tried to either "fix it" for different palettes or "better it" depending on who you ask. The chef is not Canadian.

Thought about trying to squeeze in at Le C for lunch for poutine but even the CMs in Canada said it wasn't very good. That's enough of a recommendation for me!

I've never seen the poutine on the lunch menu - only on the dinner menu. Has that changed recently? Not that I'm interested in trying it - I can't get away from the chipotle chicken sausage and polenta. Yum! :thumbsup2
