Does anyone know if there are ever codes for PBK? We are about to place a large furniture order and I'm trying to figure out a way to save some money since we're going to get a hefty shipping charge. (shipping plus surcharges).

Also, is there any shipping savings for placing the order through the store versus online?

I'd love an answer to this as well. When we recently went to PBK to pick out a desk for DS (that the in-laws are paying for), the store manager said it was cheaper to go through the store to get it rather than online b/c of the surcharge. But if you could find a code for free shipping or some other discount, it may be worth it to go online. I wish I could find one b/c that is some expensive stuff but so perfect for DS.

I love the PBTeen stuff too but my DH tells me it's cheaper to build it or have it built than to buy their stuff.

The only cheaper way I have found is at the outlet. Very rarely they put the stuff on sale- but usually the smaller holiday stuff vs. the furniture. I have not seen a code ever and I have looked.
I was skeptical on the quality but my dd has the Thomas Bed and it is one SOLID piece of furniture(the armoire not so much)
Keep watching the sale page on the website you might get lucky.

Sorry I can't help with PBKids discount. Please let me know if you find one! I really liked the look of their furniture but couldn't stomach the shipping plus surcharge. I ended up getting Stanley Youth furniture for my kids. They had frequent sales plus the furniture store didn't charge me for delivery. Good luck!

If you have any sort of "event" coming up... Birthday, new baby, something... You could always add it to that registry... once you are finished with the registry they have a completion program that will give you 10% off whatever is left on your registry.
Pottery Barn is very stingy when it comes to free shipping codes and discount promo codes! Its very rare!!

My sister works at PB and I asked her this same question. She said that occasionally they will publish a Friends and Family discount for employees, but that they are extremely rare. She won't even use her employee discount to buy anything for anyone (not even her own daughter) because it's against the rules.

I've occasionally received 10% discounts for PB or PBK, but they have always been unique codes, so I think your chances of finding one posted online are slim to none.

You can sometimes find them up for bid on e-bay, if you're comfortable going that route. It's absolutely against all the stated rules on the mailers and they are tied to a specific name, but I used one my SIL got without any problems once, so might be an option if you're so inclined.

When we moved we received a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" 10% off code. I love PB and PBKids, but lately their catalogs go right into the recycle pile because their prices just don't fit into our shrinking budget!:sad1:

And it doesn't even have to be a real event... I'm just saying'...:cool1:

I agree that Pottery Barn coupons are rare. One thing I have discovered -- I opened a PB credit card account, used it a bunch initially and paid it off immediately, then put the card away. After I didn't use it for months, I started getting $25 off $50 coupons in the mail from PB!

Thanks for all the feedback!

I went to the outlet today and found a couple pieces that go with the wall storage system we're looking for. I generally don't find anything at the outlet that I care for because the stuff is pretty beat up or missing parts. But, these look okay and since they are for our children's playroom, they won't stay perfect for long. I figured it saved me $200. So now I think I may just keep my eye on the outlet for the next week or so, then open up the PB credit card to get the 5% rebate on the remaining purchase (and try to order from the store to see if that helps any).
