Are the DIS gals obsessed with these Vera Bradley bags as much as my wife and middle school daughter (along with every other suburban housewife and pre-teen young girl in my area)?!

I don't get them! They make for great potholders but they're the ugliest things ever. :crazy2:

I personally don't like them. I like coach or LV (especially nicer knockoffs!)

I don't get it either. Quilts go on your bed, not over your shoulder. I think they are ugly and I wouldn't own one, but to each her own.

I'll confess - I love them. I bought one at a yard sale for $20. I was very happy.

I don't really like the Coach bags but I have seen a few cute ones. I also like Kate Spade bags.

I would never spend that kind of money for a pocket book though.

I think they're cute, but if I ever were to buy one, the craze would end approximately 6 seconds after my purchase. I am a fad killer.

I love mine. They are light weight and washable. I'm not into purses but love these. I wouldn't spend the miney for a Coach bag or some of the designers ones but, I think some of those are really nice.

I am a lucky man.

I married one of the few women in the world that hates shoes and purses.

She groans at shoes that cost more than $30 and purses that cost more than $20 and uses them until they fall apart before she buys another one.

Now if I can just get her to stop nagging me for a puppy and control her Beading habit. :rotfl:

Dude! And you're from Richmond, VA so you are totally lucky - in Short Pump it's almost a requirement to have one in order to live here.

I'll be honest, they look like old lady bags.

I do admit to loving Coach hand bags.

I live in Vera Bradley Land (the company is out of Ft. Wayne IN) so they have been popular around here for more than 20 years. I held off for a long time because I am really not a big purse person, but I have to admit I have been bitten by the Vera Bradley bug. I like them because they are easy to carry and can be machine washed.

I went to the Vera Bradley show last year in Ft Wayne. It was something to see!! Now my DM and DMiL both carry Vera Bradley bags too!

I think they're cute but not my style at all....reminds me of a diaper bag and I DO NOT want to be reminded of that :scared1:

Coach rocks :thumbsup2

I like them better than the coach/louis vuitton type bags, but for the price I probably wouldn't get them.

I agree with Obi Wan's woman. Anything over 20.00 is too much for me :thumbsup2

You are in Richmond too?

I work in Short Pump (live in Bon Air though) DW MeanLaureen works in another part of Henrico. A bunch of her employees carry those things but she informed me NOT.. repeat NOT.. to get her one when she found out the price.
