My family is traveling to WDW in April with friends of ours, and I volunteered to take care of all the reservations. We are both staying on Club Level at the WL, so we were able to take advantage of the IPO.

I emailed specific meal requests to the IPO back in October - at around 190 days before our trip. This was before the new changes went into affect. Here is the problem...when I finally got our reservations back in January, I noticed that at 4 of our TS Signature meals, instead of sitting in a table of 8, we have been booked at two seperate tables.

My issue with this is that they never asked me if that is what I preferred. Also, I got my reservations in well ahead of time, so I don't understand why it would be a problem to have 8 of us seated together.

I know that this may see mlike a little thing, but to take care of things early and thing you have things lined up, only to realize that you may not even be able to sit with your party is kind of depressing.

Any suggestions on what I can do to possibly resolve this would be really appreciated. I'm kinda panicking a bit...

We found out when our party of 11 went they can not always sit big parties at the same table. We were seated at tables next to us so it was never a problem. Their reasoning was they don't have tables big enough for these size parties, you should be fine.

Thanks...did you have to get there super early, or request to sit next to each other, or did they just do it on their own?

Some of the restaurants seat in specific numbers due to table size. For example I tried to make reservations for Donald's breakfast with my DW, DS, DD and parents. BUT at Donald's they seat in groups of 4, so the best they could do for me was a table of 4 then another table next to that with my parents. Yet when I made my ADR for Ohana's they sat in tables of 8, so they were able to fit me in with everyone at the same table without any problems. You may have no choice but to have 2 tables right next to each other just because that is the way the tables are. Now when I went to the Donald's breakfast my parents didn't go, but I saw alot of tables that were 2 tables of 4, pushed together to make 1 table of 8. So just make sure they plan on seating your entire party at tables next to each other then just push the tables together

I made all our ADR's right at our 90 day mark (at 7am on the dot) and I was unable to get any of our reservations at 1 table. We range from having 9, 12 and 14 people at various meals. We are sitting mostly at 2 tables, but for some meals the only option I was given was to have 3 tables.

I just called this week, we are still 73 days out, and I was unable to change any of our ressie's to reasonable dinner times. :rolleyes1 It's really crazy!

If you think about it, when you go into most restaurants, there aren't already tables for eight set up. They have to push tables together to make one big one. It's simply the same way at Disney World. And with some restaurants at Disney World, you might not want the tables pushed together. Buffets are a good place to maybe opt out of one big table since it's easier for people to get up and down in a smaller table setting. Or, when there are two families and each wants to be together but still be a part of the larger group.

I really wouldn't worry about the two table situation. I've dined many times after being told that and we've always had our choice whether to have the tables together or left the way they are.

Our party of 7 was like that at some meals (made the adrs at the 180+10 exactly at 7am) and never didn't sit together. They just pushed the tables together. I wouldn't worry about it.
