Potential budget buster - leaky dishwasher - need help

Our dishwasher started splashing water out the bottom. UGH! We don't see any loose hoses or anything and we assume the seal is not functioning properly, but we're not sure. Does anyone have any advice? It's a Kenmore Ultra Wash.

I had a small leak from my dishwasher one time. It turned out to be gunk built up around the seal, in places you never look. After a thorough cleaning all around the door it didn't leak again.

I somehow managed to get a hole in the bottom of my dishwasher tub. The repairman said I was lucky that it was under parts & labor warranty. According to the parts list, the P&L price of replacing the tub was actually about $100 higher than the cost of a new machine of the same model.

And then I asked him about the plastic clip that helps hold some of the uppper rack tines in an upright position, and that small molded part was about $30.
