Potential ADRs, what do you think?

On our last trip our girls had just got into Doctor Who. One of their favorite meals was Rose and Crown. They probably do not remember what they ate but they thought the waitress had the best accent ever. go figure.
also, our family is not adventurous at all and Boma was another favorite. There are enough selections on that buffet to satisfy most. I personally am not a fan of buffets and that is one we would revisit.

Hmm.. lots of advising against an ADR the first night. Maybe we'll just wing it, and if the wait isn't too long we can still go to Cape May, otherwise try ESPN or something else in the Boardwalk area.

The problem is those delays that crop up. Something as simple as construction on the highway that would normally be a little annoying turns into a stressfilled nightmare, you have that appointment looming over you.

I make arrival day dinner ADR's but we get there early in the morning.

I didn't read all the responses, but saw one that said something similar to my thoughts about DHS. IMO, no QS there is particularly good. Instead of doing QS for lunch there, "trade" them in for FW snacks later on. No harm in banking your snack credits or an extra QS to use at FW. Book a TS lunch at DHS (50's or Sci-Fi) and snack for dinner. That's what we'd probably do :) happy planning!

We always do arrival day ADR and have never had a problem (knock on wood), but we also get in a few hours earlier than you and I'm also prepared to eat the $20 cancellation should I miss it. To me that is not that big of a deal with a party of 2. If I were a family of 4+, I may think differently.

I would definitely give yourself some breathing room and book a late dinner though. You should be easily to the resort and settled by 6:30ish, assuming all goes smoothly. I would probably look at something around 8pm for dinner.

Thanks all for the replies. Luckily, my darling fiance has decided, he wants to fly in earlier to enjoy more of the Boardwalk and our hotel.... weird, coming from the guy who hates waking up early, but fine, whatever. Lol. So since we are now arriving around noon, I will feel better about a dinner ADR for 6 or so :)
