Has anyone else heard anything about the Pirates of the Caribbean ride being closed in Sept for rehab? I was just on another Disney board and the rumors are starting to kick up again. Just curious if anyone has heard anything. I will be sad if its not open in Sept when I go but thats the date i am hearing.

I've been hearing the same rumors, but that's all they are at this point. I haven't been able to get any confirmation.

I would think it would be posted on the website by now and there is nothing about it so I would think not.

Oh, I really hope it isn't true. Otherwise, 2 of my 3 favorite attractions will be closed for rehab on my first visit to WDW in five years. What's next? TOT?

I know, we were also really looking forward to seeing Turtle Talk. We have not been going to EPCOT for the last couple of trips so we have never seen it.

Major rehabs and closures are usually announced a few months in advance, so I would expect that this is all rumor.

There's been plenty of talk about a PoC rehab, just nothing officially announced. They'll probably do one right before or after the next two movies come out, to make Captain Jack Sparrow an actual character in the ride (that's based on the various speculations and rumors posted here in the past).
