Just curious about if anyone has or ever heard of one? Pics would be lovely and ideas. I'm just curious so unless your really want to you don't have to give me anything. I'm not getting married anytime soon. Still haven't found the right guy for me, but I'm curious cause, who knows if it maybe my wedding them lol :goodvibes

Well, I thought it would be fabulous to re-create the wedding from POTC 3 by having us fend off hired "pirates" as we said our vows, but DH put his foot down. :rotfl:

Disney is the perfect place for a themed wedding - and pirates are one of their specialties! :goodvibes I'd be interested to see some ideas as well. popcorn::

Castaway Cay would be perfect! :cutie:

We had pictures with Jack Sparrow-

And of course it's home to the Flying Dutchman!

And then there was pirate night, where the whole ship dresses up, and we made pirate fools out ourselves! :rotfl:

Ok really, our wedding was not pirate themed at all, but you could certainly do it up well on CC! :thumbsup2

My DH is really into POTC and I know that when we were planning our wedding I spoke to my WP about having Capt. Jack cometo surprise him. They can do it but it needs to be a pirates themed wedding which they can do along with having a pirates themed menu. Since we did not have a pirates themed wedding (he wanted it , I didn't, I won-:rotfl:) we could not have Capt. Jack. I did have something made by our Disney florist for my DH as a surprise to be placed on our sweetheart table that was POTC related. (you can kind of see it in my ciggy behind the candle. It came out really nice. We also walked into the reception to the theme song of POTC and DH walked down the isle to He's a Pirate so DH got some pirate stuff. When you get engaged and if you decide to do disney, when you get your WP, mention it to them and they will be able to help you. It can be done though. :thumbsup2

question-does castaway cay always have jack sparrow? do they have any other POTC characters or things to do?

We are planning on having a Neverland themed wedding with pirates and pixies. We were engaged on POTC and FH wanted to continue the theme but I kind of wanted an enchanted garden feel. So our compromise was Neverland, it has both.

Our first idea after we had to scratch getting married on Halloween (we got engaged on Halloween this past year) b/c it wasn't a value season, was to have it on International Talk like a Pirate day, Sept. 19th, 2011. Which is still a Monday like we wanted.

We've got some pretty decent ideas going. pirate:

International Talk Like a Pirate Day? Really!? That's awesome. Where did you find that?

I believe Jack Sparrow has scheduled character times. He just happened to be out while we were taking pictures. I *think* I saw him on the ship as well. pirate:

I don't remember any other POTC characters, but during pirate night Mickey, Minnie, and Stitch all had pirate garb on. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee also made appearances.

There were lots of pirate activities going on! If you notice in the last picture my DH has a "Pirate's Life for Me" button that he won during a game show. There's a pirate themed dinner and buffet, deck party, fireworks and a whole bunch more.

Here's a link to Disney's site "Pirates IN the Caribbean Party"

There's a bunch of videos on YouTube as well.

You might check the actual date of pirates night for the cruise you are on. For us, it was the night of our wedding, but could be different on other sailings.

I think I've just set a new world record for the most references to the word "pirate" in a single post! :rotfl:

pirate: pirate: pirate:

HTH :thumbsup2

:rotfl:there were a lot of "pirates" mentioned in your thread. So awesome that you just happened to see Jack Sparrow on your wedding day-DH would have flipped. pirate: Thanks.:goodvibes
