POTC v. HM

Which do you guys like better Pirates of the Caribbean or the Haunted Mansion. Thats the ride, not the movie.

Eeee...thats a hard question...I think Haunted Mansion (today at least). I really like the atmosphere that surrounds the whole attraction.

I voted HM since this is a WDW section of disboards. If the question was asked for Disneyland however I would vote for Pirates. Not because Disneyland's HM isn't as great as WDW's, but because POC at Disneyland is so incredible it beats about everything!

Nothing beats HM for me.

That's not to say that PotC isn't pretty darn sweet too.

These are my husbands two most favorite rides at DisneyLAND, but at WDW we usually skip the Pirates, so I voted for the Haunted Mansion

I was just about to post the same thing! If we are talking about Disneyland, POTC wins hands down. But at WDW, I'll vote for HM.

Maybe I am weird, but I didn't care for POC much. There was nothing exciting about it & it seemed old & dingy. HM was, atleast, kinda fun & had a little technology involved. Ds loved the flying ghosts.

I voted for HM, mostly because it's one of DD8's favorites, but really they're both great. I try to get on each every time I'm at MK.

About 12 years ago, we took my cousin who was about 4 at the time to WDW for his first trip. We arrived and walked right on to POTC for his first ever Disney experience. He sat with his mouth open, speechless for the entire ride. When the ride was over the kid hit the roof and paraded through the exit like he just discovered the meaning of life. A Pirate's life for me...

I like both of them equally but if I had to choose, I would choose HM. It seems as if there is always something new to see in HM.

Agree here. At DL, Pirates beats HM. At WDW, POTC leaves much to be desired.
