So I called disney last night to make reservations at The Blue Bayou on 10-11 and the CM that was helping me said that its good that we made reservations on that day because Potc was scheduled to close on the 13th. I told her that I was under the impression that it has been scheduled to close but was then removed from the list on the Disney website and I figured it was then off the refurb list. The CM then went on to explain that they took it off the website due to the # of complaints they were receiving but it is STILL scheduled to close on the 13th. They were just getting bombarded with complaints and decided to remove it from the refurb list to stop the complaining. I dont know what to think.

Yikes! I'm going in early December and would hate for it to be down! I'm taking a friend who hasn't been to DL since her kids were young (maybe 15-20 years ago) and I really wanted to eat at Blue Bayou!

One would think, that by having that refurbishment information removed from the Disney.com site, that would anger even more people, when they arrive to Dl. only to find that the ride is not open. Many people plan accordingly to the official website, and do not necessarily call to find out whether or not, it is entirely accurate.

I can understand the need for repairing the roof, for when I was visiting the wildest bunch to ever set sail, this week, I felt a drop of water from above, where I should not have, a couple of times, I don't care about that, I just care about the roof being taken care of, and the pirates being able to set sail again, as soon as possible.

I agree 100%

Huh. I just made my PS's today for our trip Oct. 12th-16th. I booked Blue Bayou on Thursday October 16th for lunch, with no problems. CM didn't say anything about it being closed. :confused3

I wonder if they plan on keeping the resteraunt open while the ride is closed?

I made my PSs for BB for Oct 20 and nothing was said to me about it being closed.

I made our PS last week for Blue Bayou on Oct 21st and specifically mentioned how pleased we were that POTC had been taken off refub schedule. The CM didn't say anything to contradict me.

Sometimes I have had problems with recieving inaccurate information from Disney dining.

I could see what they are talking about though. Perhaps they will add it to the calendar as the date gets closer?

Well, I just fired off an e-mail to Disney asking about it; don't suppose I'll hear back for 5 days at least, though.

Exactly! You'd think people would be more likely to get upset and complain if they checked the website and it WASN'T on there, only to arrive and find it closed.

Their logic makes no sense to me. But I have had a long day....maybe I'm just not getting it. LOL

sometimes I think Disney Dining doesnt know everything they think they know
True. Not just dining either. I can't tell you how many times I've called and asked a question and received conflicting info from someone else who's called and asked the same exact thing. Seems the CMs aren't always all on the same page.

I agree 100%.

And to the PP asking about how long it is supposed to be refurbed, when it was on the refurb list, it was closed from 10.13-11.14 or 15, cant remember if the 15th was the last day closed or the first day open. So, 1 month approx.

I will be quite upset if it is closed when we get there this October, unless of course I am warned first by the refurb list. I dont like surprises!
