Announced today by MiceAge.com, who is always correct with their refurbishment dates. Pirates Of The Caribbean will be closed for refurbishment from September 7th until November 23rd. Blue Bayou restaurant will also be closed during this time.

Thanks for the update. :)

Bummer it will be down when we there. At least CO has the Monte' Cristo so no loss on missing the BB.

See, I knew there was a reason I opted out of doing BB on my birthday. lol I'm kinda bummed FDH won't get to see the changes to pirates but it's not like it'll be the last time we go. hahaha

Well every year I go and before I go I look at refurbishments, for a site that is NOT run by Disney they have always been correct on my trips every October and even this May.

Bummer :( I looking forward to one of my fav rides when we go in October. Since I get motion sickness really easy my two fav rides is the POTC and HM. I was also planning a meal at BB guess we will have to change our normal rituals around!

We get there on the 25th of November and will be there for 13 days. Whew.

Thank you for the information. I wonder what exactly this refurbishment will be entailing?

I hope the rumors about a Eddie Murphy add in is not correct..... No, wait a minute that is for the HM. :faint: ;)

We were going to have to change our dates anyway from nov. 11-21 so based on this info, we are now going the 28th - dec.7 thank goodness for places like here and Al Lutz site to find out things like this in advance to make decisions! not being able to go on pirates is just out of the question for several members of our family!

Confirmed..... :faint:

I personally cannot fathom the idea of not being able to visit both the pirates and the Haunted Mansion on the same trip. In the infinite words of Jose, no way Jose! I second those sentiments!

p.s. for me, hmh is not the Haunted Mansion, because it isn't. It is the nbc overlay. :faint:

Said it before and I'll say it again... this sucks!! We were really thinking about changing our trip based on this alone (this is my son's favourite thing in the world, he watches the youtube videos of the ride daily) however we are still going in OCT. And going to the Halloween Party!

Oh well :guilty:

(I guess it gives us an excuse to go back sooner than we plan after this trip  )

Where on the Disneyland website can I find a list for closures for we will be there (October - so it's not on the calendar yet for the site) ??

Anyone know... Looking for an official up-to-date list, even if it doesn't show all our dates yet.
Currently I think only POTC and California Screamin will be closed :confused3

Thanks --- don't mean to hijack thread, just needed a quick answer where to look :surfweb:

:goodvibes

Disney does not list it. Yet. MousePlanet has a solid track record of getting accurate tips on ride closures before Disney publsihes them...

See http://www.mouseplanet.com/search.php?type=c&cid=dl

Wow, I can't believe that Disney doesn't keep this info available :confused3 I mean, people plan holidays around this I am sure.

I haven't actually checked, but do they update on a "per day" basis for closures?? Like if I looked up July 17 on their calendar, would it show what's down??

Thanks guys!!
