POTC "ghost" article

I found a fun article by a former castmember about the supposed ghost in POTC. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, it's a fun read and those of you that know the ride inside and out would find it particularly interesting. It goes more in depth about the mechanics of the ride. Here's the link:

Best thing I've ever read about POTC, my favorite attraction......this only adds to it's appeal.

Thanks for posting this (reminds me of all the old ghost stories at camp when I was a kid!) and :scared: I'll probably always think of "George" when doing POTC....Welcome to Dis !

We always say goodnight to George each time we visit POTC. I believe in ghosts, so I enjoy reading articles like this!

Wow! Excellent article! Thank you for posting!

What an awesome article! Thanks so much for posting it. I find things like that very intriguing. I wish I had the chance to look for George's initials at the bottom of his tower!!

It's my favorite, too, pepe. I just liked the fact that it was so specific about certain points in the ride and talked about what went on behind the scenes. I've been searching online for ghost stories about the parks because we'll be there for MNSSHP, and just about all I can find are vague one sentence stories about what has been seen near such and such attraction. I'm actually surprised there aren't more stories.

So cool! Thanks for the link!

very interesting! funny enough last month while there apparentley potc shut down shortly before we had shown up to ride it out last nite...perhaps it was george....

Pirates of the Caribbean is my favorite attraction. I love reading articles about George, thanks for posting the link.

OP, thanks for the link. I've read about George a number of times, but that was probably the best written, and most thorough story about him!

You know, I went back and re-read it, and I think it's just another legend. I have never seen mention of it anywhere else.

VERY interesting article. Thank you for posting it. I've always been a fan of POTC both in DL and WDW. I've also heard bits and pieces of the legend of George, but never with this much story and detail behind it.

We are leaving for WDW in a few days and I can't wait to ride POTC again and looking out for George!

OK, this is weird. I just posted a response to this thread and even though the forum shows my name as the last poster, I can't find my post on the thread! I wonder if this one will show up. Spooooooooooky! I wonder if it's George lol.

Ah, there it is. The second page wasn't popping up for me for some reason.

Haven't read the article yet, but we always yell for George when we are in the fire scene. Nothing yet :(
