Anyone seen it? How was it? I see it's getting a 33% rating on Rotten Tomatoes... We haven't been able to go yet due to schedules, but now I'm thinking I might wait for the dvd. We love the ride and Captain Jack, but... It's expensive for a family of 4 to go to the theater. We usually only go for good action movies or highly anticipated Disney movies. Should we go or wait? Thanks!

We LOVED it!! In fact, this one is our 2nd favorite of the series. The fight sequences in 4 rival those of the first.

I liked the first. Thought the second and third were two of the worst movies ever made. A friend that I told that to said she thought number 4 was even worse. YMMV

My son saw it, and has liked the others. He didn't care for 4. I'll just wait for it to be available on Netflix instead of spending the money on seeing it in the theater.

DH & I loved it. In fact, we've seen it twice! I think I liked it just about as much as I liked the first one. :thumbsup2

I wasn't a huge fan of the series until number four. I LOVE this movie and have already seen it three times and plan to see it a few more times.

Loved it.....have seen it twice.

Loved #1, not fond of 2 or 3, but this was more like one and I was very pleasantly surprised.

My DH and I really liked it, and plan to go see it for the second time this week. My six year old didn't like it, but my 10 year old loved it. It has a lot less political intrigue and fewer plot twists than the last two, making it a much more straight forward movie. Fun Captain Jack escapades, interesting new characters, worth seeing if you are a fan at all.

DH, Dsis and I went today. We thought it was good and our fav after the 1st. It had several scenes that reminded me of the first.

It just didn't grab any of us. I thought there were too many sub-plots going on about new characters and I didn't care about any of them.

On every thread about POTC 4 before it came out I was all like "It looks terrible! I'm not seeing it!"... well, DH dragged me to the movies and guess what... I liked it.

It was much more fun and I thought it was the best POTC movie yet (maybe aside from the first one). DH and I were saying that from now on we will just choose to watch POTC 1 and 4 and ignore #s 2 and 3. :)

DW & I thought it was the 2nd best of the series, like others have stated. Obviously #1 was the best, but this one put 2 & 3 to shame. It actually had the "Pirates" feel that the first had.

It was a good movie. Less 1 liners then the others. It seemed that they wanted a more dramatic feel. If we didnt have the other films, people would love this movie. However, considering the others, especially the first, were SOOOOOO good, people will consider this one "meh"

I didn't love it as much as #1 (which is one of my favorite movies ever), but it was fun!

DW and I enjoyed it a lot. Frankly, the CGI gnarly looking creatures were becoming tiresome. This is more story based. Also Penelope Cruz is much more watchable than Kiera Knightley.:earsboy:
