:cool1:

We are trying to decide when to go. DS has a baseball tourney this weekend and I am thinking it will be more like Sunday before we get to go. I can hardly stand it. Can't wait to see Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp!!!!

Glad to hear a positive review. Would hate to be disappointed.

Thanks for the post.

We've got tickets to the 8pm showing tonight and we can't wait. We hardly if ever see a movie on its opening day but have to for this one.

I have tickets for the whole family plus my Mom, Dad, Brother and his girlfriend. I will be wearing my pirate t-shirt and the button I received from Disneyland on premiere night. Don't tell on me but I am sneaking in the special edition Pirate M&Ms. :rolleyes1 We will still spend a fortune on popcorn and drinks for all.

see it wanderful movie it was everything it is stuffed with jam packed action comedy, drama, edge of your seat twists and turns. The movie will leave u going dont stop there! Go see it you definantly wont regret it

We'll be seeing it in 7 short hours! I'm just thrilled that my DS wanted to go to a movie with me. He tried to talk me into the midnight showing, but I just couldn't...

Cool! Were thinking about seeing it Sunday night, in DTD. Since were not going in to the park the day we arrive. But I don't know, we'll probably all be so tired after the 10 hour drive, we might fall asleep in a dark room! popcorn:: pirate:

Took my 11y/o son to the midnight show last night. He is still talking about it! :)

It was a great movie! There were many people dressed like pirates. LOL Gotta love them! :)

Just got back from seeing it this morning. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But now I can't wait for POTC 3.

To those who have seen it...

My just turned 5 year old son wants to go. He loves action movies and has never really had typical kid's tastes in films but this one looks like it might be too scarry. He really loved the first one because it combined two of his true loves (pirates and skelatons). The previews for the new movie look a lot more intense though. Should I make him wait?

My DS5 likes adventure kind of movies, too, and wants a pirate theme for his 6th birthday next month. (I'm trying to think 'pirate cute' rather than 'pirate creepy', and probably not tie-ins with the movie.) I know he would love to see the new Pirates movie, but it's just not gonna happen. I just think that in a dark theater with the loud volume and huge screen, anything scary would be too intense.

Sometimes we'll watch a movie and think he could see it once it comes out on DVD: Small screen, and he's snuggled in with one of us for anything a bit scary. I don't know if this movie will be something we'll let him see at age 6 or make him wait several years. I think we even have the first one on DVD, I guess I should watch that one again and see what we think...

It had it's scary moments. There was one where everyone in the theater jumped. There were lots of kids, but most were in the 7-8 and up range. I didn't hear any of them crying or anything.

We have been looking forward to this movie for months. I can't believe that we all forgot about it opening today! Thanks for the post and I'm so glad you gave it a positive review! popcorn::

I wanted to see the Midnight showing but instead our family saw it tonight at around 4:45pm CA time.

I was so excited to see this movie since I was at the premiere June 24. It was full of laughter, great visual effects, and a lot of pirate action!! Arrhhh Savvy pirate:

Some dialogues were hard for me to understand. "Tia Dalma" is one of them. You have to pay close attention what she is saying.

If any of you have Starz network TV, there is a behind the scenes look from POTC2. I watched it right after the movie was over. I recorded it from my DVR.
You may want to check your local listings and your cable programming.

Can't wait for POTC3!! pirate:

We saw the 11:15pm one at Downtown Disney - it was pretty crowded, and we had a fun audience.

I groaned at the end of the movie ----- we have to wait a year before we see #3!

the special affects were amazing!!! we can't wait for the 3rd now. . . how many scenes related to the ride did everyone catch??

We finaly saw it last night and it was great. At the end of the movie, we got up to leave when our movie theatre neighbors told us there was a scene after the credits. We waited for the credits (a really long wait) and lo and behold there it was. DO NOT LEAVE BEFORE ALL THE CREDITS HAVE FINISHED.
