Potatoes are out, Noodles are in at 'Ohana now

Hi Everyone! Does anyone have any pictures of the new dishes at O'hana?
I started a thread asking for some, and have looked through every Ohana thread I could find. I am anxious to see pictures, but it seems nobody has posted any yet.

I read on the Tikiman site that the bread pudding dessert is going to be replaced by the pineapple with caramel sauce dessert. In fact, I have read that you can ask for the pineapple now, instead of the bread.

DS13 will be doing the happy dance over thisone

We abandoned O'Hana on protest after the original menu change ages ago but will have to reconsider now.

Oh, great... now I have to figure out how to get this back in the rotation! UGH!

When we were in Hawaii we never had a sweet potato and the poi was gross. They did have taro chips and they were pretty good. Just be glad 'Ohana isn't serving poi! :scared:

But that would be authentic, which is what some people here were stating were wrong with the potatoes...:rolleyes1

I'll be there on Friday so I will take pictures and report back to everyone!!

Eagerly awaiting these!!! Hope the meal is GREAT!!! :goodvibes

We ate there last night and I have to say I hate the changes. I really like the wontons with the different dipping sauces...gone. I loved the potatoes...gone. The peanut noodles are not that fabulous to me. The shrimp were large, though. But my DH had a few pieces of the steak and some of it actually came out raw. It was really disgusting. That was our very last meal at Ohana's. The list of restaurants that used to be great at WDW is getting shorter and shorter, IMHO.

I'm kind of surprised to hear about this peanut noodle dish. Especially with all the peanut allergies out there. IMO, it doesn't sound very appetizing.:sad2: We have ADR's there in August and I was really looking forward to getting those yummy potatoes that everyone raves about. Oh well. I think we'll still keep our ADR and see how it goes.

Druidia - Is the Bread Pudding still on the menu? I had read on a previous post that there was some talk about taking that off too. :confused3

TIA!

I am sorry to hear that you didn't like the changes. For me I think there are still alot of great restaurants in Disney but they change their menus so much that it is getting harder to rely on going back to my favorite restaurants. I understand doing this for some restaurants like an high quality restaurant like California Grill but there seem to be so many now. And instead of taking off or adding a dish here or there, they are changing most items on the menu alot quicker. It makes it harder to make ADR's bc what is on a menu now may be completely different six months from now. I have seen menus go from looking really good to completely unappetizing. However I will say everyone is different and what may be a negative change in my eyes may be the best change ever in someone elses. But in the end, I am really disappointed with Ohana though bc have taken off my favorite items, first the shrimp wontons, now the potatoes , and supposedly soon the bread pudding. I hope they don't change the turkey. I am not going until next year so who knows what will be on the menu then.

We understand that peanut allergies are serious. Many people love peanuts and Disney seems to keep peanuts confined to a few places. With the hundreds of places to eat in Disney it would seemingly be easy to find alternatives.

But, the whole food topic is he said she said. I love XYZ. why are they changing it. XYZ sucks, I love the change. It's always something.

please don't forget to find out about the bread pudding! I ate at 'Ohana last September for my wedding reception and wowza! That bread pudding was the most heavenly thing I have ever tasted! I seriously could not stop myself from taking seconds (and maybe even thirds!).....

*gets down on her knees with arms raised to the skies* please.. PLEASE.. don't let them take the bread pudding!! :worship:
