DSis is in WDW right now, willing to buy me anything I want for next years trip. I'm wondering whether I should have her fill a box of potato parts for me. DD does not play with her potato head at home but it has mostly 'career' type parts. I have no idea whether she would play with Disney parts. She is 5 1/2 and very girly, loves turning everything into a talking family.

Maybe she'd like that better?

My kids [7,5 & 4 2 girls & boy] love potato heads. They put them together often [several times a month] and play with them. We have many pieces [sadly no disney pieces...forgot to get at WDW duh!] though so maybe it would make a difference.

My 5 and 7 year old girls love the little ponies though so that might be a good idea too.

My DD (almost 7) has the Disney parts for PH. I've bought them at WDW and DL. She plays with them every once and awhile-I think I actually bought them for me! I had the best time stuffing that box. We already had the body, so we were really able to stuff that box!

We also did the MLP at WDW a few times ago. She's played with them a few times too.

She's an only child and I know if I ask her to play with either one, she will.

Oh, by the way, I was at Sams Club this weekend and came soooo close to buying more PH. The have a set of 2 regular size heads, 2 small heads, and 40 (or more) parts. The best part, they come in a large PH container dressed as a pirate pirate: and some of the parts are piratey. It was just under $20. Such a good deal buy my DD wasn't all that interested.

same here!!! my daughter also got given the Darth Tater head and I think I liked it better than she did. i have to admit, i'm not a big MLP fan, so i carefully steered her attention away from them. That worked last yr when she was not quite 3, but I don't think it's going to work this year!

not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if you can buy Mr. P parts a la carte there? i didn't realize at the time that there are "special" disney hands that allow him to hold the various accessories. that really bugs my daughter when she *does* play with her Mr. P --- that he can't actually hold his popsicle, etc.

????? I know about the Mr. Potato Head pieces, but can you tell me more about this? We will be there in Oct. with my DD4 who LOVES My Little Ponies!
I would so appreciate it!

The My Little Pony station is in the Once Upon a Toy store at Downtown Disney. In January, there were 4 ponies to choose from, plus all kinds of "furniture" and DD5's favorite- princess and Minnie dresses and hats. DD filled a box with 2 ponies and TONS of clothes and accessories. I mean TONS! It was $18 and you could fit all 4 or zero ponies plus accessories. Very fun!

I am a Potato Head fanatic. Filling Potato Head boxes is one of my favorite parts of my trip. I grab a basket and fill it with all the pieces I want and then go find an empty spot on the floor and pack and repack my box. Yes, I'm a nutjob, but I absolutely LOVE filling Potato Head boxes. DD6 and DS3 play with them occasionally, but they are really MY collection :teeth:

are the ponies special "Disney" ponies, or, as with the Potato Heads, does it make more sense to buy the accessories and buy the ponies themselves elsewhere?
