Well, since everyone here is throwing in their recipe, I guess I'll share mine too. Mine is pretty much like the others listed, although the last few times I have tweaked it a little and it keeps getting better.
First, I season the raw chuck roast and sear it in a dutch oven
then in a seperate bowl, I mix one can of cream of mushroom, one can of cream of onion and one envelope of lipton's onion mushroom soup mix, turn your crock pot on low if in the early am, then add the roast on top. I also throw in a few dashes of lea and perrins worcestershire sauce for flavor, let that cook a few hour, then I added a bunch of pearl onions, chopped celery, baby carrots, and baby yukon gold potatoes, and let that all cook together. It was the best roast.... I served it over rice or by itself. Also, on a more regular basis I do all of the above except the pearl onions, celery and baby yukons, I add a bag of baby carrots in the last few hours and serve it with mashed potatoes. It is very easy and tasty. BTW Just recently I have discovered yukon gold potatoes, they are so tasty and make the best mashed potatoes ever, if you have never tried them, you should, you will never buy Idahos or russets again.
Enjoy
