Because of work conflicts, we aren't going to make our planned trip. Has anyone ever sold their trip on ebay? Is this legal? And how did you go about it? I appreciate the help!
Don't know the answer to your question for sure, but last time I was at BCV I was chatting with some people who had purchased their ressie last minute off of ebay.
I think it would risky trying to sell the trip on ebay too many factors plus if it doesn't sell you might end up stuck with your points in holding. Why not cancel the trip and if you are past your banking deadline try renting your points.
Remember that with Ebay you'll pay a percentage for the listing, for the sale, and also via Paypal when the payment is sent by your renter. If I were you and you can't bank the points, then renting via the trade/rental board is a better option.---Kathy

And if the 'buyer' would happen to have any 'issues' real or not, paypal/ebay usually protects them, can and have taken money back from the seller, and it can be a pain to get your money sometimes. If you sell on ebay, just be aware that some people arent exactly honest. I've sold lots of stuff and luckily have never had an issue, but have read horror stories about it.
Granted, we are only getting one side of those stories, but still.. with all the fees and junk I'd be careful.
The advantage is that you could definitely get more money than by renting points on the Rent/Trade board. The prices for rentals has been stuck at $10 per point or less for years. You can rent a night in a studio at BLT for $150 in the month of May. Rack rate is $440. So even at 40% off your best rate with Disney would be around $300. So on Ebay you could easily charge $14-$15 per point and people would still think they were getting a bargain.
