Posting pictures

I went to the thread that has the list of FAQ but I couldn't find one that specifically relates to posting pictures. Forgive my ignorance but can someone tell me which one of them relates to posting pictures? Thanks!

There really isn't one. The "clipart primer" will explain how to get them to show on the boards, but you will need to have them uploaded somewhere on the net first.

Are they already uploaded somewhere?

I have an account with Snapfish.com, is that what you mean by being "uploaded" somewhere on the net?

I don't think that snapfish allow remote linking. (I could be wrong though)

Did your ISP give you any free webspace when you signed up with them?

I just took a look... I couldn't find it either!

So, here's a quick rundown on how to post a picture.

First you'll need to upload your image to a personal web page. You cannot display an image from your computer, it must be stored somewhere on the web. If you don't have a homepage, you can sign up for a free one at someplace like....

http://www.boomerweb.net/webnow2000/index.htm

Once you have your web space, and have uploaded your image, it's time to add it to your post.

Start by copying the address of your image...
Place the code &#91img] then paste in the address, finish like this &#91/img]

So a code that looks like this...

&#91img]http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/newind1.jpg[/img]

Will display this.

I noticed that when you posted your test, you had the Automatically parse URLs: box checked... when posting images uncheck it or the software will automatically put &#91url] tags around any address it finds. That's why your "images" were showing as links.

Give it another try.

Thanks So VERY Much Carl. I'm gonna try it again. BUT I know there is a way to make the pictures a little smaller but I forgot how to do that too. Could you help in that respect also?

Make sure to uncheck the Automatically parse URLs: box. It should work for you then.
