Posting and Hosting photos?

I am having issues actually posting photos into these threads. I am hosting my photos on Flickr but when I go to add my image to my post all I get is a small image icon =

Is that specific to a desktop computer? I only have the option to copy the URL from my mobile

Yes, not from the app or the mobile site. You need to view the full site to get the link.
