My DS's teacher has a cute tradition of asking kids who travel to send a postcard back from wherever they visit so the class can see & she hangs it up for the school year. Can anyone tell me what stores/locations in DLR have postcards for sale? I can't remember ever seeing them, but I've never really looked before either! Thanks!

They have them at the cash registers at the Emporium. If I remember correctly, they had single postcards and postcard books. No ideas on price because we're still working on our postcard book from like 8 years ago, ha! (We only send postcards when it's about time for a grandkid's first visit.)

In the past, they had a book of postcards for sale in the Emporium and World of Disney. I'm not sure if they're still available.

If you just need one postcard though, I'd recommend just picking one up at the Walgreens or CVS on Katella and Harbor. The gift shops at the Harbor hotels may have them, as well.

When I sent my mom a postcard for fun, I snapped a picture of me sending it from the mailbox in front of City Hall. She got a kick out of knowing it was mailed from inside Disneyland.

Yes, this is correct. I’m a big postcard-sender. I usually send three or four a year (that’s “big” these days). In fact, I sent one a few months ago. I bought a single card at the Emporium for around $3. I always bring a stamp along when I know I’ll be sending cards because they’re not sold at DL so be advised. There are several mailboxes around the park although anything mailed there will carry an Anaheim postmark, not DL (since DL doesn’t maintain a post office, obv).

Good luck! When I went 6 years ago I thought it was would be fun to send my grandmother a postcard, and I had a really difficult time finding one in the park. I was able to find one, but I don't remember where. The hotel gave me a stamp for free. I am not sure if they are still doing that.

I also enjoy postcards. I have not been to DL since 2019 so have no clue how the pandemic may have changed inventory. At that time, the A Market by the Candy Cane Inn, had a full rack of postcards for a good price. Years before the 711 a little further down the street sold them, too, as did the CVS across the street. Glad to hear of others who enjoy these fun cards to share ::MickeyMo

I bought a 10 pack at the Los Feliz Five & Dime (the first big shop on the left entering DCA) -- can't recall price, but it was somewhere between $8-$15.

But I agree with @tsumgirl, if you can/are in the area, pop into a shop along Harbor and they'll usually have singles you can send that are much cheaper.

I collect the Disneyland 'lenticular' postcard, the one with the year on it, each time I go - usually an annual trip each year from Aus.
I've always got it, and the only place I've seen it, in the Main Street Photo Supply store. They are usually in a wall stand, near the door on the back wall from memory (pre-Covid anyway!)
They usually have a couple of single lenticular postcards and then one or two regular 'card' postcards to choose from.
There is also usually the multi pack available there or over at the counter.
Hope that helps, enjoy your trip!

I've been going to DL at least once per year (covid year doesn't count) since I can remember and I never knew the mailboxes were functional! You learn something new every day, might send my friend one for the fun of it.

Hopefully you will be able to find them elsewhere; Photo Supply closed recently, and reopened as a holiday shop.

I've seen postcards for sale at the Off The Page store in DCA. I was looking for a birthday card for my stepdad and thinking I had finally found them, they were postcards! They were different styles and features a variety of artists. You could purchase a pack or a single postcard..

Where in WDW can you purchase post cards? A CM along Main Street and at Disney Springs told me they are not sold anymore?
Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens do not carry anymore. I send them all over the world to friends and no longer have that option.

You might want to ask on one of the WDW boards, as this is the DLR side of things.
