Postcards

(I'm not sure if this is the place to post this question, but here goes) I am going to be "paying it forward" with postcards to children waiting to go to DW. This may seem like a silly question, but what should I write on them? I would be interested in some suggestions from ANYONE please!!
Has anyone had these postcards sent to their children before? Maybe you could let me know what was on them?

I can't answer your question as to what to write on them but I noticed that there is a Paying it Forward thread under Theme Park Attractions and Strategies. You might want to check it out as there may be ideas in that thread. I think the idea is great.

A friend of mine was at WDW the week before we left. I had her send a Snow White card to my DD3 it said See you soon, Love Snow White. DD3 was thrilled she still takes it out and says Mommy she sent me a letter!

When I did it, I had siblings info and the child's likes, then when I wrote the postcard, I made it a little more personal..hope this helps.

This is called a Fairy Godmailer, you can find the thread on Disney for Families forum. There are people there looking for a Fairy Godmailer for their child to get a postcard, or people offering to send them while in "The World", I did this last year and it was so much fun! I asked for someone to send my girl one, she got two. I asked the parents what characters the kiddos were into and tried to send those, I even knew that one of parents favorite was Mickey so I sent her one as well. I think I wrote something like......I hear your coming to WDW soon, I can't wait to see you, and be sure to come and find me when you get to ------(insert what park and destination). And then I signed the character, or characters names. I sent it from the souvie shop/resort. I made sure to take the addresses and a few stamps with me. Have a great time! Your certain to make someone's day.

When our friends went down (1 month before us) they sent each DD back a Postcard... It was personalized with each girls name and said they were looking forward to seeing them in ____ weeks... and signed it. That was all,,, simple but effective! The Girls were thrilled... we sent 35 postcards when we went. LOVED IT! Hope this helps.
