Hey everyone!
I am a 4K teacher in a rural district in South Carolina. :teacher: Most of the children I teach have never been to the ocean(which is only an hour away) and will almost certainly never make it to Walt Disney World.:sad2: For many this is their first experience outside of their homes and families and I want to make it a special one!!!!:wizard:
Would anyone be willing to send one of my children a postcard from a character at Walt Disney World? I would like it to be a positive note with things like I know you will do your best, listen and follow directions, make new friends, etc. You get the picture! :yay: If only 30 people will do this all of my children will receive a postcard!!!!!:woohoo:
Here is a list of my 30 students. Please post if you are willing to send a postcard and which student you will send one to-I will delete the names as they are chosen. I would like the postcards sent as soon as possible so that everyone will receive one around the same time-4 year olds have very little patience!!!!!:rolleyes1

Here is the address:
Mrs. Dana Wiggins' 4K Class
Latta Early Childhood Center
Attention:Child's Name Here
134 Latimer Street
Latta, SC 29565

Thanks so much for your help with this and for making their first year in school a special one!!!!!:dance3:

How important is it to you to have the postcard sent from WDW? I have postcards from visits that we never mailed, but they won't be mailed from WDW (I wish!).

My suggestion would be for you to hold the postcards as you receive them and give them to the kids in your class all together. That way, there won't be any hurt feelings and they can all be excited together.

A neat project for your kids!

Will the kids know if the character doesn't write the actual message?

If not, I will try to pick up some and drop them off at city hall next weekend and get them signed then fill the message in later. I'm 80% sure we will be there.

Thank you for your suggestion!!!:thumbsup2 And no, it doesn't matter if the postcard isn't sent from WDW. My children will never know the difference!

No, it won't matter! I have participated in the Fairy Godmailer here on DISBoards and I wrote the postcards myself! My own children have also received typed ones using Disney fonts. Thank you so much for your help! Don't forget to let me know the names you choose.:thumbsup2

Thanks to the wonderful suggestion above please don't date any postcards! I want to give them to the children all at once!
Thanks for helping out with this!:thumbsup2
