Postcard question :(

Hi Eviie! For the name, just put "Disney Dreams Giveaway" - that's what we've been doing, and we've won three sets of ears! I think the address only goes to the contest anyway, so if you've sent some cards without the name, they're probably fine... :thumbsup2

Just confirming - no minimum age requirement to enter through the postcards/mail?

Correct, no age requirement. My kids are 6, 9, and 13, all have won.

2nd question - you will put them in the mail every day - including weekends?

Yup, although Sunday is the day I miss the most. Who thinks to go to the post office on Sunday? lol

Same here. "Disney Dreams Giveaway"

Great idea about using the envelopes. I really thought you had to send them out in the open. Good thing I just learned of the mail contest today!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

So when the official rules say 1 per day, it would be 1 card with each date postmarked, right? And it is 1 per family member so if I got on the ball (not likely considering my tendency to forget things) I could mail in 6 per day (dh, myself, 4 kids), right??

Yes i have the same question.

Is it 1 family member per day or 1 postcard per member of family a day? :confused3

Most snail mail sweeps will DQ any entry not in the exact requested condition. Size/address/Cap sensitive - Should have figured Disney would be more lax :) I was mailing post cards that I cut to exact size. If you read the rules, they will pick from all recieved mail in entries if the 'park' chosen for the day is 'mail' :) Sundays and Holidays are picked from the previous days entries.

I would love to win the DVC membership :) can you imagine?

So wait - I thought we couldn't mail cards on Sundays and holidays because they will be postmarked the following day and therefore be thrown out as duplicates if we send in cards the following day too!

Does the post office postmark mail on Sundays and holidays?

One per family member. I have me, DH, 2 DS and 1 DD. I mail five envelopes a day.

Lurkyloo, I don't mail on Sundays or holidays because I don't want 10 of my entries to arrive on the same day, with the same post mark, five from Sunday and five from Monday. If I do mail on Sunday, I don't mail on Monday.

My opinion is that when they are drawing for ears and pins (the majority of the prizes), they aren't really tracking post mark dates. My fear is that if I were to send in five on Sunday and five on Monday, and my envelope was chosen for something "bigger", I would be disqualified for having mulitple entries on one day.

And yes, as someone who enters many, many contests by mail (along with about 30 per day online), usually you must follow the rules exactly. Disney, God love them, doesn't seem to worry about it, for the smaller prizes anyway!

Thank you Disney!

Has anyone sent in 4 X 6 postcards/index cards and won? I have not been trimming them down to 3.5 X 5 and was wondering if they will be disqualified...Thanks

I would like to hear everyone's arrival dates? Like how long after sending in there postcards did they recieve there package ?
