Hello again,
Hope everyone is well.
Haven't had much luck finding any info so what better than to ask the experts.
Are there postal services in Disneyland for sending items back home, in our case Australia.
Being there for 14 days we know we are going to purchase a lot of merchandise etc.
Cheers
Adam

HI there

You're going to have a great time! The address at Ball Road is the closest. It's called Holiday Station if you want to put it in your GPS. There are 2 basic boxes available- the prepaid box which is smaller, and you can pack it with pretty much as much as you want (note the rules regarding liquids, batteries, etc), and then it goes. Then there's the other sizes, which are based on size and weight. The postage costs are reasonably hefty (around US$80 for the prepaid, and significantly more depending on the size and weight for the other box and the shopping method +/- insurance- ours cost $190). Be careful about when you send them, because they do get to Australia quite quickly, and it will be a bit of a hassle if they arrive before you get home. Everything is delivered via Australia Post. Let me know if you need any further information.

What airline are you travelling with? Both Qantas and Virgin will let you each check in two suitcase (23kg per suitcase). It would be cheaper and easier to just pack everything in your checked luggage. You can get good quality suitcases for reasonable prices (more so than here in Australia) at places like Ross and Marshall or you could take an empty duffle bag over with you (and just put unbreakables in it). The cost of posting things to Australia is quite ridiculous, I asked a friend to buy me 2 pairs of sneakers and it cost $60 just to post them!

Thank you all,.
We are flying Qantas, and will be filling those suitcases. Just wanted that option of posting for breakables etc. Will be travelling light there and between 2 adults and my 5 yr old daughter I can see things filling up quickly. We are disney freaks and star wars crazy so this once in a lifetime trip for us is going to be awesome.
Thanks guys
Adam

That's true, trying to fit everything into the luggage. However, your family might be in a position where you exceed the weight limits. Be aware that in my experience, Qantas has been quite strict in regards to luggage weights, including hand carry (7kg per person). They do not allow for much tolerance when you go over the limit, at all. And excess baggage is VERY expensive. I feel that, for most, Disneyland is a once-in-a-long-time trip, and you gotta splurge a little. And if you buy more than you can carry, then you just send it back. There is nothing worse than limiting yourself because you're worried about getting flagged at the airport.

Yeh very true,
Had that happened before and had to pay a hefty charge. We will definitely stick to the baggage weight and with the great postal info you gave me we won't have to stress much and just send it by post. The prices are not too bad, no different if I was to send from Australia to America.

Thanks again

I think Disneyland also offers a delivery service for store purchases, but I'm not sure what the fees are.

There is also a fedex store inside the Hilton on Convention Way, but I'm not sure what their rates vs USPS are.
