We had our intimate dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. We gave our guests the choice of the entire menu minus the lobster and prime steak.

Does anyone know if we have to use one of the 'menus' that Disney sends us? Are we allowed to create our own menu or buffet selections. Unfortunately I am picky and don't like very much, my fiance is kind of picky too. I don't like ANY type of seafood at all, cheese, pasta, anything with tomatos, and the only meat I will eat is chicken or turkey. There wasn't a single menu option that was too appealing to us.
Anyone have any advice?
Thanks

You can have whatever you want:) Seriously I have asked this before and everybody has said that you can request anything.

I havent decided, but I have narrowed it down to two meals which I will decide after the tasting in August. Since I am having a reception that starts at 1pm I decided I would go with chicken since steak is pretty heavy for a lunch.

Pre-Reception
Crudites tray (veggies)
Artisan Tray (Cheese and fruit)

Main Meal
Option 1

Bacon, lettuce, and tomato Salad with a tri-pepper vinaigrette

Roasted Meyer Lemon Chicken Breast
Whipped Yukon Gold Potatoes infuse with garlic
Seasonal Vegetables

Tahitian Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee with seasonal berries

Option 2

Baby Field Greens, Sweet Currant Tomatoes, Mandarin Oranges with a toasted Pine Nut Dressing

Chicken Breast stuffed with Artichoke Hearts and Caramelized Onions in a Peppered Merlot Sauce
Potato and Fennel Au Gratin
Green Beans and Carrots in Brown Butter

White and Dark Chocolate Dipped Strawberries (3)

Then the cake I am not sure about till the tasting.
And the favors - I am leaning toward a caramel apple.
Needless to say there will be plenty of sweets available.
Wish I could have a DP but sadly, Disneyland does not offer it.

yum...disneyland ftw food is the bomb (yes, I realize that people do not say that anymore, but...lol). I know you're going to love your tasting! For the cake, if you like passion fruit, I HIGHLY recommend the vanilla cake/white chocolate mousse/passion fruit...OMG! I don't even like white chocolate but that cake was beyond words...you can taste 3 cakes...I threw that combo in at the last minute and it became our primary flavor...:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I was not that impressed with the chocolate cake...and I  chocolate cake! oh, guess I mentioned that earlier! lol

Great topic - this should help alot of us decide on what to have.

We are doing a morning ceremony in Epcot (Italy) so our reception will be a brunch - either ADS or Ariels - for about 50 people. I have seen the Tinker Bell Brunch Buffet on line - has anyone used anything else - or does anyone have any additional suggestions. Our pre reception will be starting at 10:00 and reception at 11:00.

I am not sure what to do about the bar - I can't imagine having an open bar at 10:00 in the morning - there are not many drinkers in our group - maybe we would just offer them Mimosas along with water, soda and juice.

We are planning an IllumiNations Desert Party with "For the Child in You"
Florida Lemon Bars
Double Chocolate Brownies
White Chocolate Chip Cookies
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Rice Crispy Treats
Chocolate Marshmallow Squares
Coffee, Tea and Lemonade

I am hoping to add the Mr. and Mrs. Strawberries to this and maybe some thing made with Key Lime (as that is my favorite desert).

Linda

Ours is starting at 9:45 in the morning, after an Epcot ceremony:

Pre-reception
Deviled eggs
Fruit on skewers
Chocolate & regular croissants

Brunch reception
Oven roasted Yukon Gold potatoes
Hardwood smoked bacon
Maple glazed pork sausage links
Carving station: "Raleigh" deep-fried turkey breast and beef tenderloin, with mustard, mayo, butter, and warm rolls
Omelet station: made-to-order eggs & omelets, with assorted cheeses, ham, peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach, salsa
Waffle station: prepared-to-order waffles, with caramelized bananas, chocolate hazelnut, freshfruit, and whipped cream.
Danish, brioche, cinnamon buns, rolls, butter and jellies
Fresh pastry display

That sounds somewhat like the Tinker Bell brunch with a few things taken off and added. The Tinker Bell Brunch is $45.00 per guest. Do you mind if I ask what the cost of this is per person. Also the devil eggs at your pre reception sound great (I love devil eggs) and the fruit on skewers sound like fun. What is the cost of your pre reception.

We are planning on either ADH or Ariels. Where is your reception going to be after your ceremony.

Also, what are you doing about beverages and drinks? Not sure if we want to do open bar or per drink.

Hope you don't mind all the questions.

Thanks,
Linda
