Post Your Wedding Cake

Here is our cake. It is not from Disney, but it is Disney-themed. My DH's cousin made the cake for us. Yummy is all I have to say!

She did an amazing job!

total servings, 680

What was the inspiration for your cake? It is beautiful! It reminds me of a friend - she isn't even dating anyone but it looks like something she should have when she gets married.

:scared1:

I don't think I even KNOW 680 people, let alone know them well enough to have invited them to our wedding! :rotfl:

I think that if word got around you were serving a cake like that we could find a few more "crashers".:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ditto - post on this board that you're having a cake for 680 and need a few testers or such and see how fast you make the 680 friends! :rotfl:

Does anyone know how much the Chocolate Strawberry Swirl one is? My DF&I love it. I can't re-post the picture because my post count isn't greater than 10, but it's between 1/4 and 1/2 way down the first page and DisneySweetie posted on 10/23/2007 @ 6:10pm, lol.

It's $12.50/person, and it says there's a 75-person minimum, so that's $937.50. :thumbsup2

Frankly, I don't think you HAVE to have 75 guests, but you HAVE to pay for 75 servings. Our cake served 80 but we only had 37 guests. We served one piece of each layer to every guest, so they got 2 pieces of cake on one plate. It allowed us to have the cake we wanted, and to let everyone have both flavor combinations that we chose.

O good. I don't think it would be that hard to get the number to 75 as my DF wanted to add some people, and my mom already has since the last count, but at least I don't have to worry. I really don't care about paying for the extra. Wedding cake is one of the things I have been waiting for since I was single, lol. :lmao:

This may have already been answered and if so I apologise!!
I will be having an Escape VR but would love to upgrade to a two-tier Mad Hatter cake!! Does Disney give a credit towards a custom cake if you upgrade away from the standard one?
Thanks for your help

In the past, Disney has counted the Escape cake as a $200 credit toward an upgraded cake. A two-tier Mad Hatter costs $450, so you're looking at $250 extra. :thumbsup2

i really love that idea!! When I get married, I know I want a big cake but I just don't know that many people LOL but this is the way to solve it! :)

There are *tons* of one-tier cake ideas in the DIS' official cake chatter thread, here (mostly birthday cakes, but also anniversary cakes based on wedding cake designs too): http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1811912

Here's a picture of the 1-tier version of our wedding cake that we ordered for our anniversary - that might help!
