Name the table after Disney attractions:
If you did this you could do a fast pass design for the escort cards. Safflower is making 3-d models of the different attractions (that she found online for free) and using them as centerpieces: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2238430&page=3
Name the tables after different lands around WDW:
Examples would be Tommorowland, Frontierland, Adventureland, Mickey's Toontown Fair, Avenue of the America's, etc.
Name the tables after Disney movies
If you do this you could make a movie style ticket for escort cards. I love Bickimook's pics above!
Instead of names you can use pictures of the two of you at age 1 for Table One, Age 2 at Table 2, etc.
There was one bride who hand drew design names with stars and pixie dust like dream and love and fairytale and etc. Anyone know where that post was?!?! TIA
I just saw on your other thread that you are having a "Little Mermaid" theme...had you considered naming your tables after different types of fish or sea life like coral or different types of sea shells?
One bride used different songs as the names for each table. Then when the song played during the reception everyone from that table had to dance to their song.
Pixiedust1438 - Love your table names. Just to let you know (and I don't know whether it is important or not), but only Cinderella's prince was called Charming. I don't think Snow White's prince was ever actually named and the couple seem to be referred to as simply 'Snow White and her Prince'.
our theme is a mad hatter tea party. our tables don't have "names", but instead they have a "theme" themselves if you will! each of the 4 tables will have one of these on a (free) standard ballroom number holder stand thing (a tall one), that will be in the midst of our centerpieces, which are various bottles of colored water with drink me tags on a silver tray -
also, though the napkins and chair sashes are multicolored (or rather each is a single color, but each color is randomly placed), each table will have a sheer overlay in a color that suggests the "theme" (mad hatter = sheer green overlay) and i found some weird confetti for each table to just sprinkle around (cheshire cat = tiny cats and half moons that are iridescent and look like the cheshire cat smile).
our place cards are just little stand up cards, arranged in groups, that have the guests name on one side, and a rubber ink stamp i did of whichever charachter that are sort of hand colored with pencils.
Mine are still a work in progress, but here's what I have so far:
I wanted them to look like bookmarks. I'm going to spruce it up a bit as well by adding some scrapbooking stickers of something related, like a castle, glass slipper, etc. This is the only complete one I've made so far, still working on the others.
We ordered remakes of the classic Disney movies. I'll try to post a picture when I can but if you search ebay you can find them! The are 4x9 and they will be great to frame after the wedding
