jenelope, the duck was excellent. It didn't taste like I thought it would, so it took a few bites to really enjoy the flavor. But, once it hits you, it was something to savor.

Thanks! I love duck a l'orange, so I was wondering how there's was. (BTW, your translation was fine.)

nybound...thanks for the Chefs de France photos...it's one of the places we will be going during our Christmas trip...it looks as great as I've imagined...now just to taste it all....yum!

I think the green crayon is a good idea...by the size of it, the creme brulee is a good sized portion.

Do you remember what cheeses were on the cheese plate?

Thanks!

nybound, thanks so much for the great pictures, and I enjoyed your reviews, too.

At Le Cellier, which was better - the filet with the risotto, or the ribeye? And what does "cowboy" mean?

momsgoofy, the cheeses were a blue cheese, a brie, a sharp cheese, and a milder soft cheese. Our waitress told me the names of them all, but I didn't write it down. They were all very good (my favorite being the brie).

LiteBrite, I liked the Filet Mignon better than the Rib-eye. The Filet was melt in your mouth delicious. "Cowboy" is a knickname for the Rib-eye, and it's how it appears on the check.

You might get some funny looks, but mostly from the people in your party. I actually heard someone say something about it at another table, she said "I would have never thought to take pictures of my food! What a great idea!" The hard part is getting everyone to let you take pics of the food before they dig in. My 4 y/o nephew became the food picture police... he would yell at anyone who reached for a spoon or folk before I was able to snap a picture! :rotfl:

:goodvibes That is so cute, i could see my 4 year old daughter doing that! She would think it was her job to make sure no one touched there food before mommy got a picture! :rotfl:

First of all, thank you to everyone who has so kindly posted their pictures here!! They are just wonderful!!

I've done a search, but cannot find any pictures from France's Bistro De Paris restaurant......

Does anybody have some to share? :goodvibes

Just wondering ...what's up with the green crayon and for the penne pasta do they not serve some kind of sauce with it? Is it just noodles?
For NYbound and all others, Are crayons offered at the restaurants by the hostess or are you bringing your own? A silly question I know, but I am bringing my 2 DDs age 2 and 8 and we like color to pass the time at our local restaurants. Should I be planning on packing some or will they be there?
