You're welcome, ladyjayhawk!
Kona Cafe: the beef teriyaki was very good. My wife ordered it well done (she's pregnant), but it was still quite tender. My mahi mahi was only OK. The fish was a little bland, but the risotto and crispy onion rings were quite good. All in all, the dinner makes up for an unimpressive lunch we had here back in April.
California Grill: We shared the BLT flatbread as an appetizer
it was excellent, very fresh, especially the heirloom tomatoes
For mains, my wife went for the signature grilled pork tenderloin (a mutual favourite), and I tried the black grouper. My fish had a hint of curry spice
.which didnt quite gel with the rest of the flavours, but the fish was fresh, and the shrimp was great with its crispy coating. I felt the sausage was a little too much. Still, an interesting experiment in flavours and textures.
For dessert, we had the molten lava-type cake
which was sublime
they even brought out a complimentary chocolate cake for our anniversary that we couldnt finish, as it was too rich (but very good)
CG is still our favourite WDW restaurant.
Cheers,
Joe
