Mister Disney - we've heard different prices for the chocolate Mickey. How much was yours? I don't mind spending $15 or so for a unique dessert, but more than that I don't know about! I have read several times that the slipper is around $15, so what makes the Mickey so much more expensive?

The slipper dessert at CRT was only $8.00. I would be curious to know how much some of those things were from GF, they look like they were pretty $$$ as well as pretty tasty too. I've heard someone say something about some desserts being in the $75 range (something with lots of spun sugar)....

Okay...we just arrived home tonight and I have photos in the digital camera waiting to be shared with ya'll....except I don't have a clue how to do it...I've tried before without any success. So, please someone give me some help...I need simple instructions for a not so tech savy person. If you want just PM me with some help or post it here...which ever you prefer. I just wanna show the steaks DS had, and the cool birthday mousse from Le Cellier he got, and others....just need some directions on how to do it...

Thanks!

I am not honestly sure, as I did not arrange them. Even when I try to look at the bill (trying not to pass out), it is not as detailed as needed to in order to tell. Most of the things are listed under "Private Dining" and don't spell out the actual item.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

The slipper dessert at CRT is $10 -- we had dinner there last Friday -- opted to not go for the slipper though -- our server suggested the chocolate cake and it was awesome!! I will be posting pictures soon-- have to catch up at work first!! The chocolate cake was $6 and was enough for two, the Dh and I shared and it was plenty!!

Oopps... sorry for the mis-info on the price of the slipper. I had a dessert somewhere that was 8 though! Maybe at some point I'll look back over the receipts (but I don't think I have the individual prices for all items on there because with the dining plan it makes them all $0.00.

Oh, and I agree, the chocolate cake at CRT is wonderful! and it seemed like it was enough for 3 or 4... (it is 2 big slices).

Your pictures are out of this world! So glad you took pictures to share with us. Thank you.

I'm glad you enjoy them. I've got a TON more from last week....weeding through them now...I just feel a little bad, cause I promised everyone I would get pics of everything that past my lips, but....well...it just didn't work out that way.....I'll be posting more tonight and the rest of the week.

MisterDisney,

Thanks for the great pictures! The white chocolate Mickey with the tuxedo strawberries looks awesome!!!

Mister Disney: I know what you mean about taking pics of the food. There were many times when I forgot and already had taken a couple of bites and then rearranged the food so it hid the bites. ;-)

Actually, my nephew (5y/o) started reminding me to take pictures. He would yell at anyone that tried to eat anything before a picture was taken. It was rather comical, but was the reason I was able to get so may pics of untouched food. :rotfl2:

I LOVE this thread!!!! I just got a new computer last week and the pictures of all the food is soooo clear that I feel like I could stick my fork right in the screen and get a bite of everything. I can't wait to be able to post my pictures after my visit in November!

I just wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread!!!

Between people's comments and different photos and descriptions, I've really been able to figure out what restaurants would work for our trip!

While some other threads have chattered about food, and what people liked and didn't like, this one allows everyone to see what the food looks like, and decide what would be appetizing. As a result, some restaurants that I was going to totally avoid seem to serve food I would devour in seconds, while others I thought would be great have some meals that I wouldn't feed our Siamese! After seeing a lot of different meals I am probably going to be a bit more bold in selecting places I wouldn't normally eat at. (And since it'll be on Disney's dime this fall, BRING IT ON!!)

Thanks again to everyone that has posted pictures, or commented!

Keep it up!

I gained 10lbs oogling your food pics! Thanks for sharing. I have my digital cranked up to share my eats with everyone once I return.

Mister Disney -

How much of the cigar dessert was edible? The cigars I can guess - but was that beautiful box and flower edible too? That looks so good and what a fun way to end a day at WDW!!

The "flowers" were marzapan, which is edible, but we just didn't feel like it. The "tray" was a tile slab. The rest....the "cigar box" and "cigars" were and ARE 100% edible. We're STILL munching on it....

Mr Disney those are some kind of snacks. Wow........ :smooth:
That is a choc-a-holics dream come true.

Scubaguy...thanks for all your pics too.

I love it when this thread has new pictures....
