I'm still undecided about what section of SSR to stay in. Room views and location are what really concerns me. If anyone has pictures of the view from their room, etc - please post them HERE!!!

Also, if anyone has had a room with a BAD LOCATION OR VIEW - PLEASE TELL ME.

On our last trip, we were in the Congress Park section. Our room was not DTD view or lake view. We had a view of the parking lot...yuck. But it wasn't all bad. We really weren't in the room long enough to be a factor. Was the view disappointing....yes, did it ruin our trip....no. We got over the view very, very quickly. I wouldn't stress over it unless you do plan on spending alot of time in your room, enjoying the views. Of course though, I have not gotten a DTD view yet!

It really depends on your personal preference. I am an obsessive planner. Before our first trip home which I booked 11 months in advance I had my heart set on Congress Park. We had been to SSR and toured before we bought so it wasn't like I made this decision site unseen. Upon arrival we were told that they only had the Springs available. I was so upset. Dh and the kids basically told me to get over it and guess what? We loved the Springs. We had a beautiful 2BR villa and it was a short walk to the main bldg. Next trip DH and I had reserved a studio and upon arrival we were given the option of Congress park or the Springs and we took the Springs. We arrive at SSR in a few weeks and have a 2BR for 8 days. I really want to try CP but who knows...honestly I don't even think I'd be disappointed with the Paddocks. We will see what is available upon arrival. When the resort is complete I think there are only 2 buildings I would not want to stay in and those are the ones by the entrance that are currently under construction.

We too are new owners at SSR and are anxiously awaiting our first trip "home". We have requested rooms in CP but anywhere will be fine as long as we don't get a view of the parking lot. I would be so disappointed. We have always paid extra for preferred views at the regular WDW resorts and have only had standard view once (AKL) I said never again. I spend a good amount of time on the balcony and I really do prefer a nice view. I guess I can only cross my fingers though. I wish they offered a choice of views at all of the DVC resorts like they do at BWV.
