I'm trying to convince my SIL and her family (her, husband and son) to join us during our May 2009 trip, but her husband has a strict "Disney Only Every Five Years" rule and he is not budging on it.

Had an existing reservation booked in August for 8 nights at WL courtyard with 8 day park hopper passes and insurance - 01/31 to 02/08 - booked for 2 adults (sister & I) -
total $4,202.00.
Unfortunatley when we booked when the flight prices were up - $419 a person .

Contacted my TA that I use in NJ and she confirmed our new package today for $3,236.00 - savings of $966 plus the $200 GC.
We could have upgraded (if it was going to be warmer out I may have consider the Poly) but for Feb the WL just fits in for us.

I had SSR 2 bed villa for May 2nd - 10th. 3 adults and 3 kids (8, 5 & 3), park hopper tickets and dining. This was $8,700.

Under the new deal I am paying $6,500 I don't get the gift card as my dates are not in that deal, but I am VERY happy.

I booked my flights in June and I paid $188 on Delta which is WAY better than the $400 a person I paid for this years trip go me!!!!!

I've been lurking here forever, but finally decided to register/post so I could share my deal.

Original reversations: AKL 1/26 - 2/1 (6 nights) Savanna View, room only $2055

We switched hotels due to them not being able to gaurantee animals in the savanna. Were able to upgrade thanks to the new deal.

New reservations: Poly 1/26 - 2/1 (already booked flight, so I could not extend a day). Garden View, with Park Hoppers. $2172 - $200 gift card = 1972. So essentially we got out tickets for free. That's over a $500 value. Not to mention all the time we'll save by being on the monorail.

Told them I saw it on TV last night.

Did CRO tell you that they can't guarantee animals on the savanna?

I called AKL directly last week to ask about the savanna situation. The person I spoke with there assured me that the rooms on the Sunset Savanna for the Jan 15 - Apr 15 period are inventoried as standard, not savanna-view, rooms.

I have no way of knowing if this is true, but if we end up with a construction view and not a savanna view, or with a savanna-with-no-animals view, I will be horrified.
