Not sure if there is a thread like this already (couldn't find it ). I am having trouble finding the perfect jewelry for my wedding. I need some inspiration please .

i hunted and hunted for jewerly..in the end, I went with my grandmother's crystals..they were so heavy, but I think the simplicity of the design and the sentimental meaning made them perfect!

I don't know where in NY you are but I went to Attias Flea Market in Sayville, Long Island, NY... Found the most perfect set...

I didn't have a necklace as I thought with chandelier earrings and a sparkly jewel on my dress (at the waist), it may have been too much!!!

For my wedding day jewelry, I took a necklace of my grandmother's (which she wore to my brother's wedding) and made it into a tiara with wire and fishing line. I also wore my "Heart of the Ocean" necklace as my "something blue". I just wore diamond studs for my earrings.

I am a very understated jewelry kinda gal. I went very simple. Here is a picture of me in my jewelry. It is a sterling silver diamond encrusted flipflop necklace and "cape cod" flip flop bracelet and diamond studded earings.

I couldn't find a necklace like the one I wanted, which a friend figured out was made of chandelier crystals, so I bought the crystals off eBay and worked with Etsy seller Madame Fortuna to have it made.

She added a vintage watch chain and a locket in which I kept a pic of my mom, and she made the matching earrings. I used Hollywood Fashion Tape to keep the crystals fanned out on my chest instead of clacking into each other.

I bought my fascinator from an Australian seller but had to customize it when a couple of the feathers broke in transit.

I wanted to add some Mickey so I got the necklace from Disney (I think it's still online). I got the bracelet to have some turquoise.

I also had turquoise earrings that I got from my mom for my birthday a few years ago.

Although I don't actually have a picture of it, I can tell you what we did for our daughters wedding. Her grandmother died in 2004 and gave her wedding rings to my husband. He often times wanted to take the diamonds out of her rings and design a ring for me (I was very close to his mother). I told him no, I thought it would be better if he passed them on to our daughters. So, when our first daughter got married last November, he had the diamond taken out of his mothers engagement ring and went to Zales where he designed a ring for her. She received it the night before her wedding from her dad. The ring was white gold with 2 hearts. The one heart had the birthstones of our daughter and one side was my birthstone and on the other side was her dad's birthstone. So her's was in between ours. Then, in the other heart was her grandmother's diamond and her grandmother's birthstone. She has enough space to add the birthstones of any children she may have in the future. The ring turned out so beautiful and she wears it everyday.

We also purchased a necklace for her which was white gold (fine chain) and pearls every 2 inches along the chain. She also had pearl and diamond earings to match.

The ring was so special to her and we were so happy to see her have it for her wedding day. It brought grandma much closer to her on her special day.
