Post Your DVD Collection

Interesting DVDs you have there.

We have that Pumpkins DVD. Along with Queen, Metallica, Rolling Stones, Prince, Chili Peppers and Weird Al.

Speaking of - I noticed UHF in your collection. :D

How do you like the Disney collections? We've been considering getting them.

I can't list all my movies on here, but there's plenty of Disney, some great epics and dramas, and one of my favorite box sets - Mr. Bean.

That's a pretty eclectic collection you have but you don't have Shrek or Ice Age.

You mean the Walt Disney Treasures? Most of them are out of this world, but I'm a huge fan of classic Disney cartoons... my favorite so far is the Donald Duck one, but all of them are worth at least a viewing or a couple hundred. ;) Well. Actually, I still haven't watched the 'Davy Crockett' one yet... hah...

My sister has 'Shrek' on VHS, and Ice Age... well, to say that I hate that movie would be an understatement.

What was there about it that makes you hate it so?

I thought it was hilarious.

I don't have mine listed but about 50% or more are Disney--I have a friend here at work who has 600--he forgets what he has and doesn't--even he says "I have a problem"--whenever he is at Target or whatever he picks something up.
The weirdest one I have is "The Rutles"--got it to use during a satire unit and it went over like a lead balloon  although I think it's funny it hasn't aged well and the students don't get most of it.
Robin M.

Robin - I love the Rutles. I think that it was a genius piece of satire. The original mockumentary, I think. I don't have any of the videos, but I do have at least one Rutles album in my collection.

I have my DVDs listed on my Palm Pilot (so that I don't accidentally purchase any duplicates). Too many to post online, though.

My DVD Collection @ DVDAficionado.com

Good stuff. I have a lot of the same, although I have recently thinned my collection.

Tell me about Bubba Ho-Tep. I really, really want to see this. I'll probably end up buying the dvd down the road at some point.

I have waaayyy too many to list also, but you've got some great selections there! Run Lola Run and Amelie are two of my favorites!!!

I've got alot of my stuff in. I'm still working on the rest of it but will have to wait until I get home. I can't remember alot of them!!

My collection is almost all of the Disney animated titles, and anything with The Beatles, or any one of 'em on it. I will have the Rutles one day:D

Wellll, I don't have a DVD player...yet. :o

But I have TONS of VHS videos, 90% of them are Disney videos.

I kid you not when I say that our apartment looks like a Blockbuster Video when you walk in. My bf used to keep a running total of how many DVD's he had...somewhere around the 400 mark.

Too numerous to mention, I regret. But the latest is "Bowling For Columbine" that I bought on ebay. It just arrived today, so nobody call me tonight between the hours of 8 and 10....;)

The Big Lebowski is my husbands favorite movie! He is always trying to find someone else that likes it, but no one seems to get it the way he does.

He only likes it because of Julianne Moore.

I have wayyyyyy too many to list. Several of the ones you had listed too. Some of them are all the Matrix ones, Die Hard trilogy, got Lethal Weapons on VHS and would like to replace those with DVD. We have the Back to the Future set. Fast and the Furious and Too Fast and Too Furious. Tonight we purchased the last Lord of the Rings, so we have all of those. All Harry Potters, many Disney, include Ice Age and Finding Nemo, plus I think all the ones you had listed. MANY more on VHS though too. All 3 American Pie's/wedding, lots of romantic comedies, my favorite being The Wedding Planner. We also collect Buffy the Vampire slayer seasons on DVD (season 6 was just released and I've not picked it up yet), and we collect the Angel seasons on DVD, so we have up to season 3. The 4th season will be released, I believe in Sept. sometime. Just too many to name them all! My husband wants to start collecting Stargate SG1's, and he also wants the X-Files on DVD. I've seen those early seasons going for 150 and up per season, so I don't know that we'll get those!

We have probably over 1000 VHS's though, some I'd like to eventually replace on DVD, others I won't bother.

We don't just collect movies though. We also spend wayyyyy too much money on videogames. My son has about 50 Xbox games, 30 or so PS2 games, and about 30 Gamecube Titles. That's just the newest systems, but we go clear back to the regular Nintendo, and the Sega Genesis, and it's been sucking our money since!
